With everyone’s favorite “Tax Day” just a week away, The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) disclosed that a new injection of capital courtesy of the Inflation Reduction Act passed last year, will be used to largely increase their audits and tax enforcement.

‘The agency indicated that it intends to hire more than 7,000 new employees by the end of next year working in just enforcement alone, in addition to about 6,500 new workers in taxpayer services,’ according to The Washington Examiner. Ultimately 87,000 new IRS agents are set to be hired over the span of the coming years, something that have drawn wide criticism.

The new IRS Commissioner, Danny Werfel, contends that this latest gift of new funding will not empower the IRS to go after more middle-class and low-income homes. Werfel instead claims that the IRS will be going after more higher-earners and the ‘rich,’ to make sure they are paying their fair share.

We will increase enforcement for high-income and high-wealth individuals to help ensure they are paying the taxes they owe. Given the size and complex nature of these tax filings, this work often requires specialized approaches, and we will make these resources available.

The document claims

From the document, the IRS claims that seek to accomplish 5 objectives with this new injection of capital:

  1. Dramatically improve services to help taxpayers meet their obligations and receive the tax incentives for which they are eligible.
  2. Quickly resolve taxpayer issues when they arise.
  3. Focus expanded enforcement on taxpayers with complex tax filings and high-dollar noncompliance to address the tax gap.
  4. Deliver cutting-edge technology, data, and analytics to operate more effectively.
  5. Attract, retain, and empower a highly skilled, diverse workforce and develop a culture that is better equipped to deliver results for taxpayers.

In November of last year former IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig said that in 2021 roughly $1 trillion in taxes went unpaid, namely because of tax evasion from the rich and big businesses, and some of that even bleeding into the crypto space.

Of this $80 billion in new funding being allocated to the IRS, around $47 billion is going to fund more agents and increased enforcement via more audits.

Every time we hear the liars talk about “taxing the rich,” what they really mean is taking the wealthiest earners in the middle class. There are so many tax loopholes and bribes the megawealthy and corporate powers use to evade paying taxes, with many paying next to zero. It’s a blatant oppression of the people in order to create extreme-haves and extreme-have-nots.

Last year I had reported that the IRS was already hiring and training IRS agents shoot firearms, while pretending to be the police when they are not, and have already purchased millions of rounds of ammo at the time. Clearly they plan on going after people, and it will be, like always, the little guy.

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Proverbs 22:7

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
