The Oxford City Council in England has recently decided to go completely vegan and ban all meats and meat-based products at events and meetings, in a bid to reportedly fight climate change.
Metro points out that this policy move was first enacted in 2021 and is now taking effect. ‘After Oxfordshire County Council went vegan more than a year ago, authorities in Cambridge, Exeter and Norwich have also followed suit,’ the outlet added.
This Council recognizes that meat and dairy production is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and global deforestation and that reducing consumption of these foods is a key part of tackling climate change and improving health outcomes.
The Council said initially in 2021, according to Plant Based News
Paula Dunne of the Oxford Labour Party, who forwarded the motion, said in a statement:
In the U.K. we eat twice as much meat and dairy as the global average.
This is not sustainable on a finite planet, as there is not enough land in the world to meet this demand.
The rate at which we are eating meat and dairy is the leading cause of modern species extinctions.
She said
Councilor Anna Railton said it was the council’s responsibility to “encourage our residents to look at their own diets and reduce their meat and dairy consumption.”
We do not need a handful of people like ourselves being vegan, we need millions of people doing it imperfectly.
She added
‘Prior to the decision, councilors enjoyed a plush menu of seasonal British favorites put on by local supplier Elegant Cuisine,’ Daily Mail reported, adding that this private company is still on contract with the city but are “committed to locally and sustainably sourcing their ingredients and materials and […] are dedicated to becoming as green as possible.”
On the other hand, Matthew Alden, the managing director of the 230-year-old Alden Butchers, blasted the move, calling it a “kneejerk reaction” and said it was “very easy to have a negative view about meat.”
I’m not against veganism but this won’t suit everybody. Meat leads to the employment of a huge amount of people up and down the country.
As butchers we do a lot for conservation.

Once again we see Bible prophecy being fulfilled. The United Kingdom has fully embraced all this greenie garbage, based on no logic whatsoever, hence, why it is one of the reasons it is a doctrine of devil.
