The following report is a press release by Fastfood & Ravintola Helsinki:
“Kasvilihagate” finally reached a conclusion in the Supreme Administrative Court: the use of the name “burger patty” was allowed in plant-based products, but the use of the term “plant-based meat” was prohibited. The Supreme Administrative Court (KHO) announced its decision today, according to which the name “burger patty” may be used in the marketing of plant-based patties. At the same time, KHO banned the use of the term “plant-based meat”.
In November 2019, the director of Central Ostrobothnia Environmental Health Control ordered Pouttu Ltd. to change the marketing of its products “MUU Burger Patty” and “MUU Plant-based ball” and banned the use of the terms “burger patty” and “plant-based meat” as misleading marketing. After the previous legal proceedings, MeEat Food Tech Ltd., which manufactures MUU products, separated from Pouttu Ltd. as an independent company. The decision of the Supreme Court is significant for MeEat and, although the decision was not entirely positive, it provides an opportunity to continue marketing burger patties. MeEat may potentially claim compensation from the government for changes in burger patty packaging.
Although the term ‘plant based-meat’ still cannot be used in marketing, we strongly believe that consumers will continue to use the term and that it will become established as a normal expression in the Finnish language. More and more consumers already have plant-based food days and switching to a plant-based protein product is easier and tastier than ever.
We are very happy that we can now sell plant-based patties. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what the meat is made of, but that the food tastes good.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Again, like always, all this devilish veganism continues to confuse everything. The hypocrisy and befuddlement never ends.
[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 1 Timothy 4:1-5
As noted in this report, Finland – who recently joined NATO – has also been on the cutting edge of reducing meat consumption and making the switch to the fake slop. Go figure.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
