“Germany needs a strong military that is well-trained but also has many reservists from all walks of life. We can only ensure that if we have compulsory military service.”

Nearly one year ago President Joe Biden said during a forum that the U.S. would not send any troops to Ukraine because that would mark the start of World War III.

Of course, however, U.S. troops have been sent to Ukraine last year though the general public is blissfully unaware of this.

US Troops Officially On The Ground In Ukraine

Regardless of such facts, there have ben murmurings if the United States would initiate constriction once again to send troops to Ukraine to fight Russia:

But now Germany has indicated that they may launch a draft of their own in the future to sure up their defenses. Germany has actively and routinely sent weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian forces, with their most recent agreement to send dozens of tanks there.

Patrick Sensburg, the leader of the Bundeswehr Reservist Association, told German outlet Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung earlier this week that the nation needs to reinstate compulsory military service to increase their defense forces.

He said that national defense “requires different material and a lot more staff,” and that current efforts to increase defense “will not work without conscription.”

‘He suggested that an active force of 350,000 soldiers and 1.2 million reservists would be required to adequately protect Germany. The country currently commands just over 183,000 soldiers, down from 317,000 two decades ago, and 100,000 reservists – 30,000 of whom train regularly,’ RT explained.

Germany needs a strong military that is well-trained but also has many reservists from all walks of life. We can only ensure that if we have compulsory military service.

Sensburg told Deutsche Welle earlier this month. A member of the Christian Democratic Union, he was the only lawmaker in his party to vote against the suspension of the draft in 2011.

In a separate interview with Suddeutsche Zeitung he said that ending the ending conscription was a “mistake” and that it ruined the peoples sense of “awareness that they themselves are part of the state and society.” ‘Bringing back compulsory service would restore “connection to civic society at large” for an alienated young population, he insisted, while admitting that reintroducing the draft would have little if any immediate benefit to Germany,’ RT added.

Alternative for Germany (AfD) MP Ruediger Lucassen affirmed Sensburg’s outlook and told German outlet Junge Freiheit recently that the Bundeswehr was “not capable of national defense because of its lack of personnel.”

The AfD Parliamentary group has proposed a motion to also reintroduce constriction in the Bundestag in March.

German public opinion on the draft is split. A recent poll published this past Thursday by the environmental advocacy group Greenpeace, quoted by the DPA news agency, revealed 50% of Germans are against general conscription for both genders.

Almost 500,000 Germans signed a petition drafted by Die Linke (Left Party) politician Sahra Wagenknecht that pleades with Chancellor Olaf Scholz to cease sending more aid to Ukraine to avoid nuclear fallout as a result.

Earlier this month The WinePress reported that Denmark has been considering a compulsory draft for women now as well, to sure up defenses and prepare for a potential war with Russia.

Russia To Bolster Recruitment

Russia appears to also be upscaling their constriction services.

Independent journalists Farida Rustamova and Maksim Tovkailo reported that ‘Russian authorities have created a digital database of citizens who are eligible to be drafted into the military amid growing rumors of a second mobilization campaign,’ according to The Moscow Times.

This new database will purportedly contain data on Russian citizens collected from the nations’s Central Election Commission, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Health Ministry, the Federal Tax Service and more. This information will included things like home address, driver’s license, phone numbers and email addresses, employment history and medical records.

The report found that the database is believed to be launched sometime in 2024 but a test version could possibly come sooner and used during a potential second mobilization – one that has been widely speculated will occur by the Spring or sooner.

The MT wrote: ‘Should the Kremlin announce a second wave of mobilization to redress the Russian military’s shortage of manpower in Ukraine — something that the Kremlin has denied — the new database will likely serve as a powerful tool for recruitment officers across the country charged with fulfilling quotas of new recruits.’

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Clearly things are going to escalate even further sooner rather than later. Both Russia and the West are looking to add more troops because things are going to very bloodier.

I hate to break it to people, but the West will not win, especially when you consider all the problems the West has to deal with right now.

[24] And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty. [25] Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. [26] And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

Isaiah 3:24-26

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
