“It’s a huge opportunity to protect the privacy of Canadians — you know, reduce fraud.”

The municipal government of Newfoundland and Labrador says they are looking to initiate a pilot program for a new digital ID sometime this year.

In an interview with CBC, Digital Government Minister Sarah Stoodley explained why the province needs a digital ID.

It’s a huge opportunity to protect the privacy of Canadians — you know, reduce fraud.

I think we could be leaders in this space in Canada. So I’m really excited about it.

Stoodley explained that this digital ID would better help confirm a person’s age when they want to booze, for example, and that it is really no different than presenting the clerk with a tangible driver’s license

That’s a lot of personal information.

So really all someone needs to know is that this is my picture and that the government says that I’m of age to buy alcohol.

Stoodley explained

Stoodley added that this is still in the “conceptual” phase right now, but an app could eventually be employed that simply has a ‘green tick’ versus presenting an ID with the person’s detailed information on it.

I’m going to prove to you electronically — without having to take a picture of all that and e-mail you — to prove that I’m who I say I am.

Stoodley told CBC that later this month she and the provincial government will be meeting with federal officials to proceed with the necessary next steps.

Hopefully we’ll have some news on that at some point soon.

Stoodley emphasized that when the pilot goes live it will be completely optional, but that residents should not be concerned with the digital shift – comparing this process to the Newfoundland vaccine passports called NLVaxPass.

They verified their identity on the app, and then they used that going into restaurants and bars and shopping malls. So that’s something that we’ve seen now everyone is comfortable with.

Stoodley said.

Ontario has also been looking into digital ID as well, though progress on theirs has been a bit of silence for about a year.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

I ‘adore’ how all these puppets love to compare these digital IDs to the physical ones, and how they are basically no different. Then when can’t I just continue to use my physical one then? Of course, Ms. Stoodley would say that this is “optional.” -Yeah, you say that now: how long will it be before you start dangling carrots in front of the people to accept it, and then just enforce it whether the general populous likes it or not?

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

Proverbs 12:24

As always, convenience (so-called) is a killer and is how these puppets market these digital rat traps every single time.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • You cannot put a digital I.D. on a printed King James Bible, or a printed gospel tract with King James verses on it. God’s word endureth for ever and will always prevail and never returns void.

O Canada. A nation filled with those who are destitute of wisdom!

    • Amen, Mike!
Canada has rejected the King James Bible, they don’t want to be governed by God, so now, they’re ruled by tyrants subservient to the pope.
