“Together with all our partners, we will make use of our experience and highly mature digital identity infrastructures in the NOBID consortium countries to deliver a successful large-scale payments-pilot of the EU Digital ID Wallet.”

On December 15th the NOBID (Nordic-Baltic eID Project) was selected by the European Union to facilitate a consortium that comprises a variety of companies such as Thales and iProov, to begin a pilot program focusing on payments in March of 2023, per the European Commission’s EU digital identity wallet program.

NOBID explained in a press release in September that Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, and Norway would be part of this consortium led by NOBID to manage payments for the E.U. digital wallet. Now NOBID has been selected – one of three others – chosen to receive funding from the EU Commission´s DIGITAL Europa Programme to trial this e-Wallet.

NOBID said, ‘The EU digital identity wallet is a secure app that, when it comes into being, will allow citizens across the continent to easily verify their ID, access public and private services and store sensitive digital documents in one place.’

‘The consortium’s proposal focuses on payments, one of the top priority use cases in the EU’s digital ID wallet vision. Its implementation will leverage existing payment infrastructure to enable payment issuance, instant payments, account-to-account transfers and payment acceptance both in-store and online,’ added NOBID.

We are honoured and privileged to have the EU Commission´s trust in piloting and shaping the future of digital payments and digital identity in Europe.

Together with all our partners, we will make use of our experience and highly mature digital identity infrastructures in the NOBID consortium countries to deliver a successful large-scale payments-pilot of the EU Digital ID Wallet.

Tor Alvik, Project Manager of the consortium, said

Along with Thales and iProov taking part in this pilot, other companies include ‘Signicat, RB, Auðkenni, IPZS, Poste Italiane, Intesi Group, InfoCert, FBK and Latvian State Radio and Television Centre. Merchants that will be testing out the payment solution include Elkjøp in Norway and REWE-group in Germany,’ NOBID detailed.

iProov is delighted that the NOBID consortium has been awarded funding and chosen to proceed with the pilot. This project will prove biometric-enabled Verifiable Credentials can address the emerging challenges of the increasingly complex world of payments.

Andrew Bud, founder and CEO of iProov, said

Reclaim The Net added that ‘last month, the EU claimed its digital ID wallet will be ready in 2024, centralizing citizens’ identity documents such as national ID, driving license and bank accounts.’

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The WinePress has been reporting throughout 2022 (especially these last two quarters) that digital IDs, central bank digital currencies, social credit scores, vaccine passports, and many other interconnected things, are on the way in 2023. It is something we will have to try and fight against, and warn who we can.

These moves are the next necessary bricks needed to be laid in order for the mark of the beast to come to pass.

[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:16-18

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • I am making $90 an hour working from home. I never imagined that it was honest to goodness yet my closest companion is earning $16,000 a month by working on a laptop, that was truly astounding for me, she prescribed for me to attempt it simply.
