The following report is by Politico:
Under the new rules, which will take effect on Jan. 5, anyone two years and older will need to show a negative result from a test taken within two days of their departure from airports in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, administration officials told reporters in a briefing.
The move reflects the Biden administration’s alarm about the potential spillover of new Covid variants linked to soaring Covid infections in China. The Chinese government ended its draconian Covid-zero policy — hinged to mass testing, tracing and lockdowns — on Dec. 7 following mass protests in November fueled by anger about the strategy.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Take note of the mixed messaging Politico is employing (per usual). Politico, like so many other mainstream outlets these past several weeks have been pumping out propaganda that China is expected to be overrun with Covid infections and become a variant factory now that these lockdowns have ended, and that it could spread elsewhere – which are the same lockdowns Politico and others were and are now calling “draconian.” Gaslighting at it’s finest.
But now the U.S. government, and others to follow, are using this as an excuse to make sure these “draconian” measures – the ones that we know don’t work and are highly inaccurate – that already were forced upon us will still remain in tact.
For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.
Psalm 35:20
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
