After being officially knighted by King Charles at Windsor Castle this past week, Sir Pascal Soriot, the CEO of pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, said that concerns surrounding his Covid vaccine were “overblown by the media.”
Following his knighting the CEO said:
It means a lot. It means that the King and country have recognised that personally and also through my team at AstraZeneca, we’ve had a huge impact on life sciences in the U.K. and of course on the Covid pandemic.
It’s been both challenging but also a very rewarding project.
The AstraZeneca Covid vaccine was widely distributed in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and Canada. Unlike the Pfizer and Moderna shots, these vaccines are not mRNA-based.
The AstraZeneca, similarly to the Johnson & Johnson shot distributed in the United States, received criticism for giving side effects and blood clots, causing nations to temporarily pause their administration of them. Eventually many nations effectively were able to quietly phase them out and urged only mRNA shots be administered. Other nations like India at one point destroyed 100 million doses of the vaccine and totally stopped production of them.

Soriot did not discredit these claims of blood clots per se, but said that the media made it out to be worse than it was, but did to take a shot at his competitor’s vaccines, PA News reported.
There is no medicine or vaccine without issues.
This concern was overblown unfortunately by the media. It’s extremely rare, extremely rare.
Since then, new concerns have emerged with other vaccines – heart inflammation, etcetera.
All of those issues are extremely rare but of course when you vaccinate billions of people, you’re going to have a few issues.
The CEO said, adding that “Covid is here to stay” and should worry about the flu and other viruses

I have not reported on the AstraZeneca shot in a while, but that too has claimed untold tens of thousands of lives, if not more across Europe, Australia, and Canada. It is no where near as lethal as the Pfizer and Moderna ones, but that does not somehow make it better.
However it is a bit ironic because he is kind of telling the truth in a very cryptic and deceitful manner – as J&J and AstraZeneca got hammered in the media, the Pfizer and Moderna shots – which are extremely more deadly and harmful – were never spoken of in a negative way for a very long time, until this year of course.
But go figure that a shell of a king would honor a cold-blooded killer like the AstraZeneca CEO.
