Trump Says He Wants To Prohibit Lobbying If Reelected, Even He Though Allowed It To Occur Before Leaving Office. Wants To Plant Flag On Mars

Several weeks ago former President Donald Trump said that one of his early campaign promises is he wants ban politicians lobbying while he’s in office. However, when Trump was President he had actually reneged on a previous executive order that prohibited lobbying on January 19th, 2021, his final night behind the Resolute Desk in the White House.

Trump announced these ambitions and more on November 15th, where he also formally declared that he would be seeking reelection in 2024 – an announcement he made exactly 666 days since leaving office.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Though Trump’s presidential campaign announcement is a few weeks old, I still wanted to at least cover some of the other things that I did not initially touch upon in The WP report covering his general announcement (see above).

After the halfway point or so of the speech, Trump began to rattle off some of the main things he currently will be campaigning on for 2024.

One of these goals is to officially finish the Southern Border Wall that was unable to be completed, and subsequently retighten and further strengthen security and police along the border; along with wanting to further crackdown on child trafficking and drug smuggling – calling for the death penalty be instated for such crimes; while also praising China, which utilizes a social credit score system, for not having a drug problem because of the death penalty threat.

Trump also promised to bring down inflation rates – claiming that inflation was actually at 1% and all the way down to zero under his reign, insinuating that he and his administration were directly manipulating the rates.

We will immediately tackle inflation and bring down to a level that it was. We were at zero, but actually the best number is 1%. Do you know that?

You don’t want it really zero. But we were at zero. We actually got it to exactly 1%. The perfect number.

Everything, every economist agrees, don’t have it like at 1%. They even say 1 to 2, but I said, let’s do one.

Trump said

However, the federal inflation rate was at near 0% for a brief period during the initial wave of lockdowns in 2020. Admitted inflation was otherwise mostly around 2.5%-3% at times.

He could however be referring to federal interest rates, which the Federal Reserve decides.

Trump added that the country had a strong dollar but other countries sought to devalue it.

And we had it at 1%. And we had it there for a long period of time and we had the value of the dollar.

We had it so that this country could make a lot of money and I fought other countries where they devalued their currency, whether it was the pound or whether it was the one or the end.

And I used to fight like cats and dogs with the leaders of other countries because they were stealing from us when they did that. They had artificial devaluations of their currency. It’s a very important thing. I haven’t even heard it mentioned in two years. It’s a very important thing. It’s very hard for us to compete when they do that artificially.

Ironically, Trump has publicly called for a weaker dollar and said he was not “thrilled” that the dollar in 2019 was “very strong,” and wanted negative interest rates.

Trump also said that on “day one” he move to undo Biden’s green policies and attempt to wrangle in the currently very high energy and fuel costs.

Trump also went after woke and progressive ideologies, saying Critical Race Theory will be banned. Trump proclaimed that he will be the one fix the American education system.

Although Trump was the head of Operation Warp Speed which oversaw the funding, creation, and dispersal of the Covid vaccines; Trump said he will immediately end Biden’s Covid mandates, and reinstate and refund every “patriot” that was effected.

Trump also wants to reup military defenses some more:

As events overseas have shown, to protect our people from the unthinkable threat of nuclear weapons and hypersonic missiles the United States must also build a state-of-the-art next-generation missile defense shield we needed, the power of these missiles and the power of a word that are refused to say nuclear.

We have to have it. We need a defense shield, and we have to do it. And we actually have the technology, and we’re going to build it. Just as I rebuilt our military, I will get this done. I rebuilt our entire military, which nobody talks about.

Moreover, he plans to not reenter or start more useless and endless proxy and terrorist wars, boasting that he fulfilled that promise during his first term; even though his administration orchestrated the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s second-in-command general, via a drone strike in January of 2020 right before the Covid War was propagandized – in an unprovoked attack, where the Pentagon provided little quantitative and qualitative evidence to prove that Iran had plans to launch some huge counter-offensive against the U.S.

We took action last night to stop a war. We did not take action to start a war.

Trump said at the time

Kayleigh McEnany, press secretary for Trump said on Fox News that the killing was the “greatest foreign policy accomplishment, I would say of all the decade, if not our lifetime.”

Trump later reiterated his calls to “drain the swamp,” which he followed by saying he will ban politicians from lobbying.

And I will ask for a permanent ban on taxpayer funding of campaigns, a lifetime ban on lobbying by former members of Congress and cabinet panel.

Now I see what they make. They leave the White House or they leave Congress and they paid millions and millions and millions of dollars a year. Now you have to have a ban. We want to ban on members of Congress getting rich by trading stocks with insider information. And many of our great members agree with that. They actually agree with that.

However, this claim flies in the face of his previous actions as President.

In 2016, one week after taking office, prohibited lobbying by politicians. But on January 19th, 2020, his final night in office, Trump rescinded that executive order and allowed politicians to openly lobby and take bribes as they were before.

Executive Order 13770 of January 28, 2017, “Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Appointees,” is hereby revoked, effective at noon January 20, 2021. Employees and former employees subject to the commitments in Executive Order 13770 will not be subject to those commitments after noon January 20, 2021.

The Trump White House website was quick to remove the actual webpage on it as soon as the press caught wind of it, and social media backlash began to grow.

Nearing the end of Trump’s speech – Trump talked about how America will be stronger than it ever was before, so much so he intends on sending men to Mars and plant a flag on its surface.

We will defend life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We will expand the frontiers of human knowledge and extend the horizons of human achievement.

And we will plant our beautiful American flag very soon on the surface of Mars, which I got started.

But we need everyone involved. We need everyone’s help. We need to look out for one another. We need to be friends. And we need every patriot on board. Because this is not just a campaign. This is a quest to save our country. Talking about saving our country.

And lastly of note, Trump gave a subtle Qanon reference, using identical terminology the movement uses:

We will be persecuted just as I have been. I mean, I have been, but many people in this room have been, but we will not be intimidated.

We will persevere. We will stand tall in the storm. We will march forward into the torrent. And we, in the end, will win. Our country will win. We will win.

As I said, this is a bit late but I did not want this to fall on deaf ears.

I mean, I think Trump’s words speak for themselves. He’s a habitual liar and psychopath that just plays on the sentiments of the masses, relying on blind obedience of the masses, for his club of elitists to succeed in pushing their true agendas.

For a brief moment, and for the sake of discussion, I want you to erase your mind of Trump and what you know and feel about him: let us judge this with a clean, sterile slate, pretending that this is your first time hearing Trump, okay?

Okay, so he wants us to believe that America is collapsing fast, saying: “You’re angry about what’s happening to our country. Our country is being destroyed before your very eyes.” And yet he wants to plant a flag on Mars.

Now, you can stop pretending and let reality set in again…

You have got to be kidding me!? This country is collapsing at freefall speeds, and yet this nutcase is still preaching American imperialism and wants to plant a flag on Mars! Oh, so when Biden funds billions to Ukraine, it’s a travesty; but when Trump wants the taxpayer to pay billions for a rocket to land men on Mars and back, then it’s “beautiful?”
