AUTHOR’S NOTE: This report was first published on December 4th, 2022:
Last year France made the move to ban short-load flights within the country, in a bid to curb carbon emissions. That new rule has now taken effect.
This is an essential step and a strong symbol in the policy of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
As we fight relentlessly to decarbonize our lifestyles, how can we justify the use of the plane between the big cities which benefit from regular, fast and efficient connections by train.
French Transport Minister Clement Beaune said, reported by Executive Traveler
Therefore residents will have to rely on other forms of transit such as train or bus.
‘The law does specify that train services on the same route must be frequent, timely and well-connected enough to meet the needs of passengers who would otherwise travel by air — and able to absorb the increase in passenger numbers,’ France 24 noted.
For more details read the initial post:
I welcome the Commission’s decision which will make it possible to launch new steps in the effective banning of airlines when there is an alternative of less than 2h30 by train. This is a major effort, and I am proud that France is a pioneer in this area.
Clément Beaune, French Minister Delegate for Transport, said
The ban covers flights that take two and half hours or less, which would effectively prohibit flights such as Paris to Bordeaux, or Nantes and Lyon, according to Executive Traveler.
This move will mull roughly 12% of all flights in France.
The list of flight bans could expand in three years if this current concept proves to be worth while.
These plans were initially framed in 2021 per the country’s €7 billion rescue package for Air France after the airline reported monumental losses due to travel bans and lockdowns in France and around the world the last several years. However the original draft proposed banning flights that take up to 4 hours, but was rejected after criticism from Air France-KLM and representatives of affected regions.
‘Environmental groups are pushing for the flight ban to go even further, with Greenpeace saying it should extend to six hours where a train alternative is available,’ Executive Traveler adds.
Aero Time points out that the underpinnings of this move involve purportedly reducing carbon emissions.
Reducing and ultimately eliminating commercial flights are a major climate goals many nations are looking to each other. As reported by The WinePress, many nations will seek to mostly eliminate domestic and international flights by 2030:
[By 2030], all airports except Heathrow, Glasgow and Belfast close with transfers by rail. All remaining airports close [thereafter]. According to the Absolute Zero Agenda plans
Executive Traveler also notes that Austria has considered implementing a similar ban to France’s:
The Austrian government previously considered a similar step as part of a bailout of Austrian Airlines, suggesting that domestic flights be axed where a train ride of up to three hours is available, such as between Vienna and Salzburg.
It’s estimated that 80% of short-range flights in Austria could be replaced by trips on the country’s sprawling OBB state rail network.

[29] A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good. [30] He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass. Proverbs 16:29-30
I have not talked about the collapse of the airlines in a while, but this is a huge move that will get very little press time has just now received press coverage even though was officially enacted late last year. This move is key for the elites’ to further subjugate and isolate the people by restricting their travel. Give it a bit more time it will be all flights, expanding into many more countries…
It should also be noted that the World Economic Forum has said that flying cars will be in use by 2030 in these smart cities, which would replace the private ownership of cars and commercial airlines; something I have touched on in different reports.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
