Just several days ago The WinePress detailed a looming diesel shortage that is forecast to hit the US hard, that will ultimately usher in a rapid slowdown in shipping/freight and production, forcing the costs of energy even higher – if the forecasts hold any water – coupled with very limited options the Biden administration could take to try and stymie the problem:

But now it appears there have been multiple refinery fires and explosions happening within the last couple of months or so, only pouring more salt on the wounds.
For example, Forbes reported on August 27th that a fire broke out at British Petroleum (BP) facility in Indiana, prompting the U.S. Department of Transportation to instigate a regional emergency for Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. The facility refined 435,000 barrels of oil a day.
Then in mid-September two workers died per an explosion at a separate BP facility in Ohio.
But it is not just happening in the U.S. but in other countries as well.
Reuters reported on October 17th that a fire broke out at a refinery plant in India, injuring several workers.
These last several days have seen a lot of refinery fires happening all at once it seems. Reuters again reported that PDVSA refinery was temporarily set a blaze due to a reported lightning strike. The facility produces 146,000 barrels a day.
PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd (PRPC) in Malaysia reported that an explosion occurred but was fully extinguished by dawn, also according to Free Malaysia Today.
Just last night a huge explosion broke out at a CPC Dalin oil refinery in Taiwan, though company says it should not slow their production down too much for a time.
The WP has also reported on a continuous string of food processing and fertilizer plant fires that have rapidly increased these past two years:
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
My answer to this diesel crisis is similar to what I said was happening with the food processing plant fires:
[17] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. [18] And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: [19] Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.Jeremiah 29:17-19
Whether or not there truly is a massive diesel shortage where the ‘tankers’ run dry in a couple of weeks – as it very well could just be more overhyped hoopla – it is still very much prudent to have extra food and water on hand, along with some extra fuel reserves perhaps, alternative ways of producing heat and power and means of cooking, along with warm clothing, alternative transportation if possible, and so on and so forth. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Reject all the gainsayers who tell you not to have preparations in place. But first and foremost: always remember to trust the Lord, and seek his guidance and protection.
[30] There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. [31] The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.Proverbs 21:30-31
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Interesting that The Book has prophecies of “price fixing.”
Mark, you beat me to it, that is exactly what I was going to say!
Hard times are coming ahead, and this wicked nation deserves it fully! Even so, the prudent will prepare for the upcoming future, even if we are raptured out before the Lord fully punishes America, who can tell if some disaster should befall near wherever we live and we cannot rely on our taps, the grid, and the grocery store for some time.
And with the way the world is looking, this early November may be the last chance to restock before disaster hits. Pray about what you should do, obviously, but make sure you have a reasonable amount of emergency supplies just in case.
