If European nations weren’t already having troubles dealing with energy shortages and inflated costs due to sanctions levied against Russia, now China is cutting off some of their natural gas to Europe.

China announced that the sale of liquified natural gas (LNG) are to cease and exports have immediately stopped.

The Trends Journal reports that China forecasts a slight shortfall in its own gas supplies for the colder months moving forward and is looking to protect themselves first.

Because of all the lockdowns and zero-Covid-policies factory output was slashed thereby reducing demand. Energy companies began to quickly sell their fuel to Europe and others in Asia.

‘In August, China sold more than four million tons of LNG to Europe, which remains in the throes of an energy crisis after Russia shut down the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which supplied more than 30 percent of Europe’s natural gas,’ the TJ noted. ‘The August shipments were equivalent to about 7 percent of Europe’s gas imports during the first half of the year.’

Since Russia’s operations in Ukraine and NATO nations placed their restrictions on Russia, Russia has offered their gas to Chinese buyers at much cheaper rates, at one point almost at 50% on LNG from Russia’s Sakhalin 2 LNG terminal.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Russia, China, and other Eastern powers are only going to come out on top of this quagmire, as noted in other WP reports where people such as Putin have mocked these restrictions, as the European people are increasingly growing fed-up with the government.

The problems facing Europe will only get worse as the Lord continues to judge them and the West for its wickedness.

[17] Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, [18] Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness; [19] And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein. [20] And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 12:17-20

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
