The mainstream media is now warning that there will likely butter shortages this winter across the United States, along with cheeses being taken off of shelves.

Citing a report from Fox Business, food news outlet The Takeout explains that cold storage facilities that hold and chill the butter, are reportedly significantly holding less butter this past August, compared to the same date a year ago.

Five are reasons are being touted as the cause of this:

  • Periods of extreme heat nationwide have caused cows to produce less milk
  • Cow feed has grown more expensive as the price of corn has risen due to global supply chain disruptions
  • The West is dealing with reduced production schedules
  • The Midwest is having trouble with maintaining cream supplies for butter making
  • The Northeast’s demand for butter is inching up, straining producers’ manufacturing capabilities

‘In real world terms, this is all wreaking havoc on butter prices. While overall grocery prices went up 13.5% in August, butter prices went up an astonishing 24.6%, making it the ingredient that suffered the biggest price hike. And there doesn’t seem to be any relief in sight for the rest of the year,’ The Takeout wrote.

The Takeout suggests that you can freeze butter as well, which can extend its life even further.

Moreover, the outlet does recommend perhaps picking up some extra sticks and containers now rather than later. Of course, not to overdo it either. In short, modest preparation.

However, the outlet did seize the opportunity to plug vegan alternative butters, and highly-inflammatory vegetable seed oils as a replacement to butter.

New Research Further Affirms That Dairy Fat From Milk, Butter, Cheeses Help PREVENT Heart Disease

On top of this, just a few days prior to this butter shortage announcement, the Food and Drug Administration announced a recall of many different brands of Brie And Camembert Cheeses, citing a potential outbreak of listeria.

Food recalls are certainly nothing new and out of the ordinary, but during a time with growing supply chain disruptions and increasing levels of food shortages, it simply adds to the list of more foods that are being taken off of the shelves.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Whether or not this touted butter shortage actually materializes this winter, it would still be prudent to have a little extra on stand-by, as with other food items, as I have been warning about for some time now.

Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.

Proverbs 19:15

Don’t let gainsayers convince you not to prepare for a rainy day. Looking well to your going is a good and necessary thing to do (Proverbs 14:15).

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • These devils causing this supposed “shortage” will try to take away every good thing we have.

Genesis 18:8 (KJV) And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Isaiah 7:14-15 (KJV) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

  • you can churn your own butter, and is a great workout for your arms, also you can make your own cheese and cottage cheese!

  • Jacob you are so right, we are country folks, and we hunt our meat, grow our fruits and veggies, can meat fruit and veggies, get out and pick berries, make homemade jam, get a cow or 2 and maybe goats make your own butter, cheese and cottage cheese, it is a lot of work, however it is fun!

  • We should all be praying to God for all the church to have exactly that … land. So that they may be able to follow the old paths and live a more healthy life: most of us didn’t get to a city life by choice but it started somewhere along our ancestral line and not to mention everyone was lost before saved, unaware of God and what a godly life looks like. .
Fervent prayer for all those that live in the city, may the Lord provide away out or sustain you where you are. Either way to the saved if you read this just know there is one that is praying to God asking on your behalf to the Lord God Jesus Christ. Amen.
