The Austrian division of Burger King is now asking customers if they want a “regular” burger, or a “meat-based” patty, in a bid to normalize the consumption of plant-based and faux meats and alternatives.
This new ambition began in mid-July of this year. Customer’s reactions were filmed for a promotional video, where many respondents gave a positive opinion with plant-based alts being the new normal.
With this question, we want to stimulate the social debate and show that our plant-based alternatives have a confusing taste. Meat is one option, but it is not the only one. We leave it open to our guests what is normal for them: everyone should have the same taste.
At Burger King, we are making meatless indulgence a permanent fixture on our menu, because meat no longer comes naturally to everyone. With the provocative question ‘Normal or meat?’ we want to show that we take our customers and their needs seriously. Because from now on, we also serve almost our entire range [as plant-based].
Jan-Christoph Küster, Chief Marketing Officer of the TQSR Group, the Austrian master franchisee of the Burger King brand, said in German
In 2019 Burger King introduced the “Impossible Whopper” in the United States, to which the franchise has since then looked to expand their plant-based options all over the world.
VegNews additionally notes,
‘From plant-based meat buns in Japan to vegan bacon-topped Whoppers in France to high-tech vegan chicken in Chile, the fast-food giant has a plant-based option in just about every region it operates. And in some countries, it’s going one step further. In the United Kingdom, Burger King has made some hefty commitments to revolutionize its menu to become 50-percent plant-based by 2030. And these veggie items are performing well in many areas, including in Belgium where earlier this month, Burger King revealed that one third of all Whoppers sold were meatless.’
The outlet added, ‘The chain is also confident that plant-based meat is quickly becoming the new norm. Burger King’s approach in Austria is reminiscent of its campaign in Sweden in 2019. There, Burger King promoted its plant-based options—the Rebel Whopper and the Rebel Chicken King—with the innovative “50/50 menu.” Customers who wanted to participate in the campaign could order from the “menu” and would receive either a plant-based or meat version of one of these sandwiches, driving home Burger King’s confidence that the plant-based versions were identical to its core menu items.’
The new campaign in Austria is the latest way in which Burger King is exploring meatless options as the norm worldwide. Last summer, Burger King transformed one location in Cologne, Germany into a totally vegetarian outpost to explore how customers would respond to a meat-free menu.

Europe as a whole are further ahead when it comes to pushing and accepting the plant-based. We all know fast food in general is utterly terrible for you to begin with: God only knows what even more processed pretend “meats,” in the fast food setting, will do to the body!
New Study Reveals That Plant-Based Meats Are Way Less Nutritious And Have A Hard Time Being Digested
This could obviously be total 100% vegan propaganda, claiming that all these people love and are complicit with the plant-based slop; or, actually most people think it’s silliness. I mention that because one of the big boys, Beyond Meats, is hemorrhaging cash (that’s on the official balance sheet we get to see), and totally flopped at select McDonald’s locations in the states. Though, as I said, Europe is farther along with all of this garbage versus the states.

[8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

I loathe Burger King. That’s all my grandma ever ate as well as tubs of ice cream (is it any wonder why grandma was so sick and frail? Plus the pharmaceutical witchcraft and the Vatican owned medical hospital system)
I won’t eat zee bugs or see plants!
Craft. We avoided Burger King from the ’90’s, so soon as they came out pro-sodomite & anti-freedom of speech. Could never understand why Christians kept supporting such businesses & watching tv, listening to hellish, carnal music etc. We kept ‘coming out’ and going to churches with better doctrine, with a reputation for being more ‘conservative’….but kept finding the same trends toward antichrist union & influence. Guess that Brother Denlinger’s most recent youtube teaching explained why & what the roots of it were.
