German Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann recently told residents that they need to make the switch to using wash rags instead of taking showers.

The WinePress reported roughly a month ago that increasing number of Germans were already taking less showers, amidst an ever-worsening energy crisis and rising inflationary costs.

Europe Faces Worst Drought In 500 Years As Energy Markets Are Headed For ‘Disaster’

The following is from German outlet Die Welt, translated into English:

Baden-Württemberg Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann is on the right track as an energy saver. “I have an electric car, I have a huge photovoltaic system on the roof,” said the Green politician of the “Südwest Presse.” He has been heating 70 percent of his water with solar energy for 25 years, and he has also ordered a pellet heating system.

Kretschmann’s tip: “We usually only heat one room,” he said. “It’s also healthier if you don’t have the same temperature everywhere in the house.” In addition, you don’t have to shower all the time. “The washcloth is also a useful invention,” advised Kretschmann.

However, the Green politician has identified a weak point: “I still have room for improvement when it comes to reducing meat consumption.”

Kretschmann received sharp criticism for his savings tips from the Left Party . “The Greens didn’t even manage to get the 9-euro ticket extended with their flimsy performance in the federal government, but they are throwing out one smartass tip after the other,” wrote the parliamentary manager of the parliamentary group, Jan Korte, on in a statement on Friday.

According to Korte, people who have had to save for years to get through the month don’t need “cynical energy saving tips” or “infinitely outlandish best practice examples” from Green Prime Ministers.

Korte also became clear on Twitter: “So #Kretschmann has just ordered an electric car, a ‘huge solar system’, plus a pellet heating system and recommends #washcloths. Soup! How infinitely different the Bionade bourgeoisie is now from those who have had to save every day for years. Hard to believe.”

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Even though this Prime Minister is a hypocrite and obviously is seizing the opportunity to push his globalist green agenda garbage, having to reduce your showers (and this includes non-Germans as well) is a reality you will have to accept, and using rags may be the option at the time. I have access to clean and warm showers and baths, but even I only use rags on many occasions, as there is no point in taking daily showers if I don’t need to, and it saves a little money.

Once again, I continue to warn that this energy crisis is not a joke, and Europe this winter is going to get walloped. To anyone reading this, you need to continue to make the necessary preparations in your life, because things are going to harry in the times to come. Disregard the gainsayers who want you to be lazy.

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.

Proverbs 20:4

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
