Pope Francis Says Eating Meat Is A ‘Self-Destructive Trend’ And Says We Need To ‘Repent’ For Abusing “Mother Earth”

Last week in Prague of the Czech Republic, Francis told young participants at EU Youth Conference that we need “break this self-destructive trend” of consumerism, which he equates with things like eating meats.

Here too I was pleased to note that while previous generations talked a lot and concluded little, you on the other hand have been capable of concrete initiatives. That is why I say that this, more than ever, is the right time.

If you do not succeed in turning this self-destructive trend around, it will be difficult for others to do so in the future. Don’t let yourselves be seduced by the sirens that propose a life of luxury reserved for a small slice of the world. Instead, have that “broad outlook” that can take in all the rest of humanity, which is much bigger than our little continent. May you aspire to a life of dignity and sobriety, without luxury and waste, so that everyone in our world can enjoy a dignified existence.

There is an urgent need to reduce the consumption not only of fossil fuels but also of so many superfluous things. In certain areas of the world, too, it would be appropriate to consume less meat: this too can help save the environment.

In this regard, it will do you good – if you have not already done so – to read my Encyclical Laudato Si’, in which believers and non-believers alike can find solid motivations for committing themselves to an integral ecology. An education, then, aimed not only at knowing oneself and others, but also creation.

Francis additionally noted how many other Muslims are also reading, studying, and implementing his calls for a more ‘sustainable’ world.

I would encourage you to read my Encyclical Fratelli Tutti (3 October 2020) and the Document on Human Fraternity (4 February 2019), which I signed together with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. I know that many Muslim universities and schools are reading these texts with interest, and so I hope you too will find them inspiring. Education, then, should have as its goal not only to “know oneself” but also to know others.

Francis, who, just a paragraph prior to this statement, cut on attending ritzy universities “where only people with lots of money can be accepted,” he said.

Prior to these statements, Francis empowered the youth to stand-up and rebel against the adults and their elders, who Francis insinuates are the reasons why the world is in the mess that it is because of them, and encourages the youth to educate them instead.

Perhaps you have heard of the initiative, launched in September 2019, called the Global Compact on Education. It is an alliance between educators around the world to educate the younger generations in fraternity. Seeing, however, how our world is being led by adults and elders, it seems that perhaps you should be the ones to educate adults in fraternity and peaceful coexistence!

Among the first commitments of the Educational Pact is to listen to children, adolescents and young people. So dear young people, make your voices heard! If they do not listen to you, shout even louder, make noise; you have every right to have your say on what concerns your future. I encourage you to be enterprising, creative and critical. You know that when a teacher has demanding, critical, attentive students in his class, he or she is stimulated to work harder and prepare better lessons.

[As for the war in Ukraine,] mow we must all commit ourselves to putting an end to this dreadful war, where, as usual, a few powerful people decide and send thousands of young people to fight and die. In cases like this, it is legitimate to rebel!

Someone has said that, if the world were ruled by women, there would not be so many wars, because those who have the mission of giving life cannot make death choices. In a similar vein, I like to think that if the world were ruled by young people, there would not be so many wars. Those who have their whole life ahead of them do not want to ruin it and throw it away, but to live it to the full.

Pope Francis To Put A Curse On Ukraine And Russia By Praying To Mary By Consecrating The Nations

Yesterday Pope Francis wrote another letter reiterating a similar message, for The World Day of Prayer for the Care of the Creation, which begins on September 1st and ends on October 4th.

Speaking of the earth, he said:

In the first place, it is our sister, mother earth, who cries out. Prey to our consumerist excesses, she weeps and implores us to put an end to our abuses and to her destruction. Then too, there are all those different creatures who cry out. At the mercy of a “tyrannical anthropocentrism” (Laudato Si’, 68), completely at odds with Christ’s centrality in the work of creation, countless species are dying out and their hymns of praise silenced.

Because of this, and much more relating to the climate, the Pope says we need to repent and atone for our abominable acts:

Listening to these anguished cries, we must repent and modify our lifestyles and destructive systems. From its very first pages, the Gospel calls us to “repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near” (Mt 3:2); it summons us to a new relationship with God, and also entails a different relationship with others and with creation. The present state of decay of our common home merits the same attention as other global challenges such as grave health crises and wars. “Living our vocation to be protectors of God’s handiwork is essential to a life of virtue; it is not an optional or a secondary aspect of our Christian experience” (Laudato Si’, 217).

As persons of faith, we feel ourselves even more responsible for acting each day in accordance with the summons to conversion. Nor is that summons simply individual: “the ecological conversion needed to bring about lasting change is also a community conversion” (ibid., 219). In this regard, commitment and action, in a spirit of maximum cooperation, is likewise demanded of the community of nations, especially in the meetings of the United Nations devoted to the environmental question.

Francis also took the opportunity to plug this year’s COP27 climate change conference, which will be held in Egypt in November, which he says “represents the next opportunity for all to join in promoting the effective implementation of the Paris Agreement.”

For this reason too, I recently authorized the Holy See, in the name of and on behalf of the Vatican City State, to accede to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement, in the hope that the humanity of the 21st century “will be remembered for having generously shouldered its grave responsibilities” ( ibid., 65).

Let me repeat: “In the name of God, I ask the great extractive industries – mining, oil, forestry, real estate, agribusiness – to stop destroying forests, wetlands, and mountains, to stop polluting rivers and seas, to stop poisoning food and people”.

Francis, being the puppet tyrant for Mystery Babylon of Revelation 17-18 , is only confirming that it is the Vatican running the show and pulling the strings: do not let other talkingheads pull you astray from this basic and obvious truth to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Rome does not believe in their own rhetoric: it is all about what they have always been about: political and temporal subjugation over everyone and everything.

As I have noted many times now, ever since the Vatican II Council in the early 60’s, this progressive and ecumenical push is purely a masquerade to lure everyone back in and destroy the nations. After they have baited the masses, and even fallen away brethren, then the ‘switch’ comes into play: they will allow the progressives to be killed off and cast aside, while allowing the traditional and true conservative Catholics to reclaim the power. Same agendas, just a different coat of paint and trappings.

And one of the ways the Vatican is stirring up the youth to rebel, and eventually become bonafide members of the Nazi Youth 2.0, and enforcers for the coming antichrist. In order to teardown nations, one of the things you do is empower women to destroy the home, create deadbeat dads, and then rile up the confused and frustrated youth.

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
