Last week Reuters reported that the central lands of the Sardinian island saw swarms of billions of locusts destroy their crops, according farmers on the island. Because of this, many businesses may be forced to shutdown do to the losses, amidst a worsening energy crisis and drought.
‘The invasion is projected to affect an area of around 60,000 hectares this year, double that of 2021 and compared with just 2,000 hectares in 2019,’ Reuters wrote.

Rita Zaru, the mayor of Noragugume, said. She noted that 70% of the approximately 280 inhabitants are farmers and sheepherders.
Zaru also added that those who decided to farm the grasslands this year to boost their milk production have basically lost the entirety of their initial investment.
Meanwhile in parts of Russia, the locusts are destroying the crops and feed there as well.
According to Strange Sounds, 80% of livestock feed (hay and other things) have been eaten or destroyed in Yakutia, a Northeastern area of Russia, and the Primorsko-Akhtar region near the Black Sea is also witnessing their crops destroyed.
The locusts have destroyed more than 80% of the hay. Here we will no longer be able to stock up on hay for the winter.

‘Only in the Krasnodar Territory, locusts occupied two and a half thousand hectares. It’s like 3500 football fields,’ Strange Sounds added.

What the Lord judged Israel with is now being done to the Gentile nations. And while locust swarms are nothing new, this year they have been huge, and come at a time when there are shortages of everything, inflation is out of control, drought, and artificial breakdowns in shipping. Many parts of Russia and Europe, along with the U.S. and other countries, are going to be facing major problems this winter.

Comparing spiritual with spiritual, we know that “locusts” are not just that which we know in the natural/physical world, but also represent spiritually something profoundly important.
Locusts consume the seed and produce spiritual famine (not of bread, but of hearing the words of the Lord) preventing salvation for mankind.
We carry seede (word of God) into the field (world) but carry little in from harvest because the locusts arise from the smoke of the pit and eat it up the word. Who are the locusts? Those whose king is from the bottomless pit, that corrupt the word of God, tempting mankind with soft words, introducing doubt in the pure word of God: “Yea, hath God said..?” The hundreds, maybe thousands?, of religious texts and so-called bibles are from the pit of hell. The many burning lampes from the enemy, who has always sought to steal the seed, the pure word of God, to prevent men from getting saved. The pure word of God is the only way that a man can be born of the Spirit: “Being borne againe, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liueth and abideth for euer.” Corrupt seed prevents salvation. We are warned to keep his words – “Ye shall not adde vnto the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it, that ye may keepe the Commaundements of the Lord your God, which I command you.”
The enemy, a liar from the beginning, has always sought to steal the word, murder the prophets, lie and deceive man to hinder salvation.
The enemy eats up the incorruptible seed, and spews out corruptible seed. He sows seeds of lying words, from the mouths of men taken captive by the devil to do his will, to entice mankind away from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God, the bread of life. Mankind is eating dry mouldy bread, and are dying in their sins. The true bread from heaven: For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Jesus Christ, the Word of God, the bread of God from heaven, the incorruptible seed.

The spiritual locusts seem to be everywhere as well. They, through those they dwell in, want to devour the spiritual vegetation that is men.
