“One of the most feared animals diseases in the world is right now on [Australia’s] doorstep. The highly contagious foot and mouth disease is running rampant in Indonesia, and it’s being detected in Bali. If does enter Australia there are warnings that it would decimate our livestock industry, and essential food items would disappear from our supermarket shelves.”

Those are the words of a news broadcaster from 10 News First in Australia, expressing concern about the possibility that an outbreak of an infectious disease from Indonesia that affects livestock, could significantly cause mass famine and force majeure on exports in Australia.

On July 7th CNN reported that Australian officials were asking traveling Aussies to leave their flip-flops – known as thongs in Australia – in Indonesia, for fear that residents could inadvertently bring back the foot and mouth disease (FMD) to Australia. Most travelers are not wearing boots or closed-toe shoes, and administering acid baths would be highly irritable to people’s skin, so officials are urging travelers to just leave their sandals there.

‘The disease is considered the greatest biosecurity threat to Australian livestock and an outbreak could lead to mass culls of infected animals and shut down Australia’s lucrative beef export market for years to come,’ CNN wrote.

Foot Mouth Disease would be catastrophic if it were to arrive in Australia.

Said the country’s Chief Veterinary Officer Mark Schipp, advising the government to take preemptive actions

The impacts on farmers if foot and mouth gets in are too gut-wrenching to even contemplate. But it’s not just about farmers. Wiping $80 billion off Australia’s GDP would be an economic disaster for everyone.

Fiona Simson, president of the National Farmers’ Federation, said

FMD has no real effect on us, but is very contagious amongst closed-hooved animals (cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, camels). Lesions and painful blisters appear on the mouths of the animals, which cause the animals to not eat, and can cause severe lameness (crippled) and death.

Australia has already ramped up their biosecurity searches at airports, checking luggage for meat and cheese products, and advising travelers to be mindful that even the dirt on their footwear could spread the disease.

Indonesia reportedly tried to initiate a vaccination campaign, but by June 27th 58,275 of the over 17 million heads of cattle was vaccinated, Indonesian Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo said.

CNN added, ‘The timing of the outbreak has been disastrous in Indonesia, coming weeks before Idul Adha, the “feast of sacrifice,” when animals are typically sold in large volumes for slaughter over three days from July 10. After families pray and share a meal together, they sacrifice livestock and distribute the meat to the poor.’

For Australia, it seems the only approach is to vaccinate the livestock once FMD is reported, as trading partners would reportedly not differentiate the difference between a vaccinated and diseased cattle.

If we were to vaccinate preemptively, we would lose our animal health status as a country free of foot and mouth disease and we would lose our trade and market access.

Mark Schipp explained

Every person should be at least questioned by a biosecurity officer, if not subject to an inspection. We need to also keep looking at shoe disinfecting stations as an option.

Whatever it takes. We don’t want to look back and wish we’d done more.

Since then the Australian government has announced a $14 million spending package to help prevent the FMD disease outbreak. Australia’s 7 News Sunrise reported that ‘$5 million will go towards on-the-ground measures in Indonesia, Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea, including technical assistance and epidemiological support;’ and ‘a further $9 million will be spent on 18 new biosecurity officers to be stationed at Australian airports and mail centres, as well as detector dogs in Cairns and Darwin.’ Additional funds will be sent to a new coordinator in Northern Australia to mitigate added surveillance and implement preparedness strategies for the area.

We need to make sure we act quickly and err on the side of caution because the devastating impact that can have, particularly on our agricultural providers in rural and regional New South Wales, is significant.

I know that state ministers are working very closely with the Commonwealth government to achieve an outcome that protects our farmers and at the same time balances the opportunity of open borders.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrott said

Agriculture Minister Murray Watt added that security is now ‘risk-profiling’ travelers returning from Indonesia.

If any of those passengers match the risk profile […] then those passengers are screened and go through […] being questioned, having shoes cleaned, having luggage examined, having detector dogs.

If anyone does come back in the country and declare that they have had contact with a dam or livestock, or have got grains or meat products or any of the usual things that you have to declare, then those passengers are screened as well.

Watt stated

Sunrise additionally noted, ‘The Nationals have called for the government to introduce compulsory shoe decontamination and a two-day ban from returning to regional Australia, in the wake of the outbreak.’

If in the event in an outbreak is detected, the Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC News) says the primary move would be to slaughter all infected animals. Their movement would be prohibited, they will traced, quarantines enforced and real-time surveillance.

‘Under the Australian Veterinary Emergency Plan (AUSVETPLAN), vaccination, pre-emptive culling and further movement controls are considered additional measures that can be taken to eradicate the virus,’ ABC News.

However, today Australian media discussed rumors that small outbreak may have already been detected at a supermarket in Melbourne.

I am not there, but I know I do not trust a single thing the media says, nor I do know if there is a bonafide outbreak. And while some may say that I am being conspiratorial, what is not a conspiracy is all the media has to do is simply declare that there is an outbreak, thus ushering in mass genocide. The media continues to point at the economic effects that it would cause, and certainly it would be terrible, but what they are not reporting on is the massive famine that would create, and a large dent in imports here in the United States, and other nations.

And all of this just seems to coincide with the push to get the masses to get fake meats, claiming the real meats are emitting too much carbon.

So, what better way to fulfil such goals by forcing the masses to accept it whether you like it or not? Regular WinePress readers know that I have been expressly warning for some time now that a shamdemic that would be zoonotic in nature, would occur, and it and would justify the mass culling of livestock, wildlife, and even pets. And while I do not think this is ‘the one,’ this is a prime example of what I have been warning about; and if the media decides to go through with this, the effects will be devastating.

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Anything to try and keep the masses from eating meat. Well that won’t be me and I don’t say that in pride, God forbid. I’m not going to eat Zee bugs, I’m not going to eat this plant based impossible slop, and I’m not touching metaverse cyber-foods either!
