The debacle in Sri Lanka is something I have not really talked about a whole lot on The WinePress. It was always something I planned on touching on, but it somehow always found its way to the backburner for prolonged periods of time.
If you have not heard by now, the nation of Sri Lanka has basically collapsed after years never-ending economic woes that ultimately caused the people to finally snap.

Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced he would step down late Saturday night after thousands of protesters rushed his official residence and offices earlier in the day.
Rajapaksa has taken refuge in an undisclosed location, some have pointed out, possibly on a naval ship.
Parliament Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena told the nation in a televised announcement late Saturday that Rajapaksa will resign Wednesday “to ensure a peaceful transition.”
Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe tweeted he will resign as well:
To ensure the continuation of the Government including the safety of all citizens I accept the best recommendation of the Party Leaders today, to make way for an All-Party Government … To facilitate this I will resign as Prime Minister.
The Sri Lankan constitution says if Rajapaksa and Wickremesinghe both resign, the parliament speaker will assume power for one month.
Footage circulating on social media show tens of thousands of demonstrators swarming the presidential palace.
Social unrest comes as the country has suffered runaway inflation and shortages of food and fuel after depleting foreign exchange reserves.

Thousands of protesters stormed Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s official residence as part of an anti-government demonstration calling for his resignation following the country’s economic collapse.
Demonstrators marched to Sri Lanka’s commercial capital of Colombo early Saturday. They jumped security fences surrounding the residence and overran the president’s security forces. Rajapaksa was evacuated from the palace around 1000 local time, his secretary Gamini Senarath told Bloomberg.
The president was escorted to safety. He is still the president, he is being protected by a military unit.

Footage uploaded to social media platforms from the president’s residence shows thousands of protesters surrounding the palace and then charging inside.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe held emergency talks with party leaders before the parliament speaker during the unrest to decide what was next in resolving the worsening socio-economic crisis in the country of 22 million people.
Lawmakers asked Rajapaksa to relinquish his power to allow a new leader with a parliament majority to regain control and find a swift resolution to high inflation and shortages that have angered people for months.
The debt-laden economy of the tiny South Asian nation has “completely collapsed” as it lacks foreign exchange reserves to import essential items such as food and fuel. Shortages have materialized as the government began rationing goods last month.
Even though the government has held talks with the IMF, India, China, and Japan for new credit lines and even spoke with Russia about purchasing heavily discounted crude, the country entered a terminal phase where social unrest is spiraling out of control.

The Sri Lankan crisis carries the potential for an Arab Spring-style eruption across other countries that could quickly morph into an “Everywhere Spring” as people worldwide are angered by high inflation and shortage of food and fuel. This eruption in unrest could eclipse the revolution seen in 2011 that spread across the Arabic-speaking world due to high food prices.
Everyone’s favorite permabear, SocGen’s Albert Edwards, first warned about the consequences of central banks injecting record amounts of money into the global economy in late 2020 and how it could spark soaring food prices, similar to 2011, where social unrest and revolutions were seen in many Arab countries.
Edwards’ prediction appears to be playing out. It could be much worse than a decade ago as much of the world experiences economic hardships and what some believe could be the emergence of stagflation.
Could the fall of Sri Lanka signal that weak, heavily indebted countries worldwide are about to fall like dominos?

Do You Loathe The Honeycomb??,” then you understand what is happening to Sri Lanka (and a LOT more to come), is rapidly approaching the Western world and other nations who are collapsing as we read and watch these events unfold.
Because of this we can recognize the foreshadowing of what is to come, and how the Vatican (who secretly and many times overtly) is pulling the strings to teardown the nations; so that through their scheming, they can usher in their true religion and beliefs in the open (not this progressivism they used to destroy the nations), and allow the antichrist to eventually be accepted.

America is such a spoiled nation, we even have eating contests which are so atrocious and nauseating, not to mention sinful.

Lighting a fire under my butt! …lol. That be some plain speaking. Actually, I find I have to calm myself down & focus, or else I get paralyzed thinking of all I should, or could, be doing right now. Wanting to weep trying to warn folks dear to me who only want to talk about escapist things they are doing to avoid the ‘negativity’& ‘political’ talk, how the kids are ‘good’ & making plans for the future, & being ‘positive’ to win the worldly: we don’t want to hear that negative stuff when we don’t have to: away from work etc. They don’t want to suffer for Christ, but to be part of the ‘survivors’ of this thing….and have no problem or concern for those who suffer, the weak or poor who chose not to go with the program, apparently deserving what’s ‘coming to them’.

This is very encouraging because people are rising up, but it’s also a warning.
America will soon enough experience this and deserves it. America has been pampered and evil as well as religious for too long.
Famine is coming, the economy is going to crash, millions upon millions are going to die from the death jabs, war is coming, we’re likely going to go to war with North Korea according to a video I’ve seen recently.
Welfare, mortgages, loan offices, and social security are going to go bust.
And the staff of bread (that’s the economy) is going to be cut off for the hirelings and mega churches and most of them will become FEMA death zones…where there was pews and chairs there’ll be mattresses and their potluck and thanksgiving halls will be cafeterias or chow halls.
All the Applebee’s and Fuddruckers (those were where I’d go for after church lunch at least) and so on will become makeshift food banks.
Meanwhile, everyone’s talking about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock and Johnny Depp and Amber Heard on trial…because the global elitists are testing the population and they see they’re still glued to the idiot boxes and they say “taking over and overpowering them will be a breeze.”
People will be so fed up around the world that they’ll accept any “savior”, who is the coming Antichrist. But he will lie to the whole world and actually destroy them even more.

In Grenada there was General Elections on 23rd June & there is a new Prime Minister Hon Dickon Mitchell.
The previous Prime Minister Rt. Hon Keith Mitchell was in office from 1995 to 2008 and from 2013 to 2022, and is now Leader of the Opposition; an office he also held 2008 to 2013.
It’s interesting he lost in 2008 & 2022. Wasn’t there a world recession in 2008?
