As protests continue to rage on in The Netherlands because the government is looking to upend livestock farmers’ operations to meet arbitrary climate goals, Belgium is now considering placing a tax on eating meats.
‘Expert’s commissioned bet the Ministry of Finance in Belgium are proposing massive tax hikes on the sales of meat, in order to become more eco-friendly, and discourage the population to reduce their consumption of meat, according to The Brussels Times.
These panelists are suggesting increasing the value-added tax (VAT) on meats from anywhere between 6%-12%, or possibly even 21%, Belgian outlet Le Soir explained. The experts purport that the current price of meat is “significantly lower than its environmental impact.”
The VAT for all foods, including ‘luxury items’ like seafood and crustaceans, are currently at a fixed rate of 6%.
The Brussels Times noted, ‘The economists based their suggestions off a recent study conducted in the Netherlands. When extrapolating the results to Belgium, the experts calculated that the tax could bring in €394-933 million, as well as external benefits of €108-272 million due to decreased environmental damages.’
This panel of experts, however, are taking this even farther, and are now seeking to apply this in a similar fashion to company vehicles by removing their tax breaks and incentives. This too would be to force companies and citizens to reduce the amount of times they drive and use cars that release fossil fuel emissions.

The governments around the world, namely the Western ones, are going to do everything they can to coax and threaten the masses into getting off of meats. Even if these taxes are implemented, I highly doubt it would deter a lot of people.
I firmly believe the real game plan from these psychos is to launch another shamdemic of a zoonotic nature, that allows them to justify the massive genocide of pets, livestock, and wildlife, along with a total takeover of agricultural systems once and for all. That would net the results that they seek.
