Sitʼ Eeti Shaanáx̱ Glacier Valley Elementary School in Juneau, Alaska, recently issued a statement to parents after children and some staff were fed floor sealant chemicals instead of milk, resulting in hospitalizations.

Students aged 5-12 were recently fed what they thought was milk for breakfast last week, but they began to complain it tasted and smelled funny, and their throats and mouths began to burn. The school reportedly then figured out it was “actually a floor sealant resembling liquid milk.” Specifically it was Hillyard Seal 341 the children and some adults ingested.

They then immediately removed the sealant from the children’s meals, and quickly called poison control.

‘One of the dozen affected students sought medical treatment, two others were picked up from school, and school officials immediately contacted poison control, according to the district’s statement,’ NBC’s Today noted.

Superintendent Bridget Weiss told The Associated Press that the milky formula was shipped in a large plastic bag and stored in cardboard boxes like the milk.

We don’t know how that happened, but they were all put on the same pallet. That pallet was delivered, and the assumption was that it was milk because that’s what we thought was being delivered.

NANA Management Services, the company that served the breakfast, told the Washington Examiner in a statement:

We are supporting the full investigation, looking at every contributing factor to determine exactly what happened. This process is key to identifying potential safety measures and putting those safety measures to work.

According to reports and statements from the school, a pallet of the floor sealant was mistakenly sent to the food and commodity warehouse for the school district this spring. The sealant was untouched until last week when the elementary school ran out of milk and staff were sent to retrieve more of it.

The students are reportedly doing alright now after a few upset stomachs.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.

Proverbs 10:26, 15:19

How stupid and negligent must you be to make a mistake that badly?! You expect me to believe that the boxes and containers had absolutely zero markings and letters that distinguished ‘milk’ from ‘Hillyard Seal 341?’ Moreover, when the chemical was being poured, the staff are that stupid that can’t notice a difference in smell, viscosity, and sheen compared to actual milk? -Well, it is a public school, and we know that the biggest ignoramuses of society often work at these places, so perhaps it’s more possible than we think…

When I was in public schooling the absolutely disgusting “milk” were contained in little cardboard containers that were unmistakably marked as milk. Apparently this district does not do that; or this is the cover story that was fed to the media.

Add this to the infinite list of reasons why you cannot let your children attend public schools.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Matthew 24:12
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

If these people have genuine love and care for the children, they would’ve double, even triple-checked. Not even in Jacob’s trouble yet, and already lost people are turning colder every day (around here as well, the waning empathy can be seen in people, though many can still muster up some civility, but it’s getting worse.)

  • That’s criminal negligence and they should have the book thrown at them! Absolute stupidity! Is thinking and common sense not in style anymore? What’s next, passing off motor oil as chocolate milk? These fools!

Woe to the school systems-public, private, Catholic, secular private, and “christian” private!

  • All it takes is one activist or idiot (sometimes the terms are interchangeable…lol!) in either the school staff, or the media mediums.
