During his visit in Japan with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, President Joe Biden said that America would launch troops to Taiwan if China attacked.

A reporter asked Biden, “You didn’t want to get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons. Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?” By responded by stating, “yes.”

The reporter seemed a bit taken back by that response, and asked “You are?” Biden then claimed, “That’s the commitment we made.”

But it did not take long for the White House to renege on those comments, and assert that he just meant in terms of supplies and policy.

As the president said, our policy has not changed. He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself.

A White House spokesperson said.

Needless to say, China did not respond well to those comments, even after the White House tried to downplay Biden’s comments.

China’s Foreign Ministry expressed “strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition” to the U.S.’ response, and that ‘Beijing has no room for compromise or concessions relating to matters of sovereignty and territorial integrity,’ CNBC reported.

No one should underestimate the strong determination, firm will, and strong ability of the Chinese people to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and do not stand against the 1.4 billion Chinese people.

China’s Foreign Ministry also said

Other analysts are now worried that these comments from Biden will cause the very war Taiwan was seeking to avoid.

I’m not sure China has much confidence that the US has a one-China policy. What they’re seeing is increasingly unclear US statements on Taiwan.

I think it’s important for our allies, friends and our adversaries to understand what our policy is. Failure to do so could prompt the very attack by China we seek to avoid. I don’t see that [Biden’s] constant misstatements are helping.

I’m concerned about the possibility of Xi Jinping believing he has to do something because he looks weak. Chinese politics are especially opaque right now … This is not a good time to back him into a corner.

Bonnie Glaser, Asia director with the German Marshall Fund of the United States, explained.

Clarity is monumental for the island’s future and could help sustain peace in the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific. All this messaging in terms of creating confusion is not good, with this or just about any foreign policy goal.

Unless you really commit resources to it, talk is always cheap. It undermines America’s reputation.

Weifeng Zhong, a fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center, said

South China Morning Post additionally wrote,

‘Monday’s comments were not merely “Biden being Biden”, analysts said, referring to his reputation as an ageing politician who speaks his mind. Biden has “misstated” US strategic ambiguity toward Taiwan repeatedly, leading some to question his support for his own government’s policy.’

‘His remarks were also made in the context of Russia’s February 24 invasion of Ukraine and reflect his strong belief in the need to prevent large powers from invading their neighbours,’ the outlet added.’

Some say it’s just him making gaffes, but to me that doesn’t explain it. His staff keeps having to correct him without saying they’re correcting the commander-in-chief.

Said Shirley Kan, an independent Asian security specialist formerly with the US Congressional Research Service.

The WinePress reported on some of these growing tensions between China and Taiwan this year, and can be read down below for more details.

[1] Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; [2] Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. [3] They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah.

Psalms 140:1-3

Make no mistake: as noted in this report, as retarded as sloppy Joe is, this was very much intentioned. Biden wants to create more war on purpose, and that will NOT end well.

As I have noted in other reports on the Taiwan tensions, the U.S. and NATO have laid out the playbook for what they would do with China, per the restrictions levied against Russia. But this time if China decides to impose restrictions, then America will go barren relatively quick.

Therefore, prepare for the worst to come.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

    • I did see your previous comment, and a few others sent this to me. I will be doing a report on it soon, with some other additional details. I don’t know if the Taiwan thing will be the alibi to start a full-scale war with the U.S., but I do believe that China, and probably Russia, will invade the U.S. in the near future.

      • That makes perfect sense, because it fulfills Bible prophecy with Gog and Mogog. Please pray for me to have courage to face these trials. I have Cerebral Palsy, which means I have no balance and cannot walk. This is really frustrating because I’m unable to protect my elderly parents. Lord Jesus, please protect us!

  • Joe Biden backed off because he’s in the back pocket of China-president Winnie to Pooh Xi has him in his back pocket. If he provokes China, let’s just say it won’t be pretty.

I would look forward to World War III and America-all 50 states-fall apart and crumble to dust and ashes!

    • That was a very eye opening video. We’re heading down the path of the Austrian-Hungarian empire I believe.
Yes, there’ll be civil war, race wars, and then martial law takes over and both sides will get killed and then when China or Russia invades, it’ll be too late they’ll catch America at her most vulnerable.
