Iran Becomes The First Nation To Implement Biometric Food IDs For Rationing Amidst Food Riots And Internet Shutdowns

The infamous food and rationing ID’s have now arrived, with Iran becoming the first nation in the world to launch biometric passports, that permit citizens to buy food and other goods.

Flying under the radar, one week ago Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi announced the nation will prune bread subsidies as commodity prices continue to soar.

The Financial Times wrote, ‘The government will offer citizens digital coupons that will allow them to access a limited amount of bread at subsidized prices, while the rest will be available at market rates. The bread scheme will come into force in about two months. The scheme will later include other goods such as chicken, cheese and vegetable oil, officials have said.’

In other words, you can buy as much bread and goods as you want (while it’s still available, if it’s available), but if Iranians want the bankrolled and reduced prizes on these limited goods, then civilians will have to get the new ID and accept these “coupons.”  

In October 2021, Iran in Focus wrote, ‘With the state of the economy in Iran, it is no wonder that more and more people have fallen into poverty in the past few years, with more than 80% of Iranians living under the poverty line. As a result, the middle class has all but disappeared as the poverty line level has risen.’ Moreover, the outlet also notes that ‘Of the estimated 85 million people living in Iran, 19 million Iranians have been forced to live in slums […], a quarter of the Iranian youth are currently unemployed and 75% of economic capabilities have been lost by workers. Shockingly, up to 1,000 children under the age of 3 are abandoned on a yearly basis as their parents cannot afford to raise them.,’ the outlet found.

The most worrying consequence of the widespread poverty in Iran is that more and more people are willingly selling their organs to make much-needed money, with some mothers even selling their unborn fetuses to make ends meet.

Needless to say, many Iranians will jump on the bandwagon for these new food passports.

Today, subsidies are being wasted and people are witness to corruption and discrimination in this regard. How can we let this continue? People and the elite urge us to reform the economy and we are determined to do so.

Raisi said on a television announcement

Reform-minded economist Saeed Laylaz explained that this move is “a necessary, painful surgery.”

Iran’s economy cannot afford to continue its money-splashing any more. Festivities are over.

said Laylaz.

The Financial Times concluded with, ‘Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday that the legislative body and the government of Raisi would co-ordinate the issuance of coupons. Prices will rise gradually and only once people have digital coupons, he said.’

Like so many other nations feeling the fallout from the prolonged Russia-Ukraine conflict, as Iran relied on 30% of their grain imports coming from Russia and Ukraine, on top of Iran’s already super-high inflation costs.

Last year Iran already released a biometric digital ID, with the data stored people’s smart phones – an ID that would also be handed over directly to the police.

This move to subsidize commodities and foods has led to riots and protesting in recent days, reported by Reuters.  “Despite attempts by provocateurs to incite protesters, the rallies ended with the intervention of security forces,” the IRNA news outlet reported. These protests has been scattered throughout different cities, with some buildings and businesses set ablaze.

On top of this, Iran has shutdown and limited internet usage this past week. But government, business, bank’s access seems to operating just fine, citizens internet services are being sequestered.

Christian from the Ice Age Farmer broadcast noted these subtle actions are fulfilling the Rockefeller’s “Reset the Table” initiatives, to “transform the food system,” the group says. This organization wants what they call “true cost accounting,” where governments and institutions implement arbitrary taxes and hidden fees on goods and services, and not allowing markets to auto-correct and establish fair value. Something like a carbon footprint tax and calculator is a good example of this.

So, effectively, while prices continue to rise because of inflation and shortages, governments are quietly implementing hidden taxes, fees, infractions, and licenses, that are driving prices up on purpose, and forcing others out of the business

And while Iran is basically laying out the people to get in line and accept a handout, the U.S. and other nations are quietly working to do the same, and have the systems in place already.

Defense One reported in 2020 – while the nation was under the first wave of lockdowns – new AI courtesy of the Pentagon was installed, to track and predict panic buying, and current infections rates of Covid in an area. It is called Salus, ‘the Roman goddess of health and well-being, the tool can work on a scale as wide as the entire nation but can also drill down on specific zip codes and, in some cases, individual stores.’

Several times in the Ice Age Farmer’s report (where I obtained many of these sources from), referred to this ID as the mark of the beast. I think he was being facetious, but I am not sure. Nevertheless this is NOT the mark of the beast, but it is clearly a huge step in that direction.

What Iran is doing is laying out the blueprint for how this will more than likely pan out in the U.S. and elsewhere. The governments and international corporations are working in concert to usher in famine and disease, so they can get the masses begging and pleading for food; to which at that point, it will also be linked up with proof of vaccination, carbon calculators, and social credit scores. This is why ‘they’ need people clamoring and addicted to their smart phones. And this is how universal basic income (UBI) is also being packaged up, because it is being tied down to food resources. MANY will comply.
