For those unaware, my grandfather had ‘died suddenly,’ almost certainly due to a heart attack – which of course, WinePress regulars know exactly what that means. And unfortunately a LOT more of that will continue to occur in my family in the times to come. As it stands, I’ll be the last remaining Thompson in my family when ‘it’s’ all said and done, save another…
Be that is it may, I left Sunday and arrived in Lawton, Oklahoma, on Monday evening; and hit the road yesterday, and just got back about an hour ago at the time of this publication. Needless to say, I am a bit tired, but glad to be back.
As sad and as unfortunate as the situation was, I was glad I was there to honor my grandfather’s life, and also be there for my grandmother. Those two loved each other dearly, as they were married for 61 years – an ultra rare bread these days.
I do not want to get into too many personal details, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a safe trip; and I do want to say thank you very much to all those out there who were praying for me, and lent their support during these times. May the Lord bless you.
As for the ministry moving forward, there were some things I was working and praying on before the news of my grandfather’s death came in; and so I will also be working on that as well, along with some hard-hitting messages as well. Be on the lookout for further updates, as The WinePress will more than likely start to expand and move into new directions and avenues.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Brother Jacob thank you for all the hard work that you do. I sometimes wonder how you do it! Sending love and prayers to you and your family. May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you strong in the faith❤️
Glad to hear you had a safe trip brother, and I’m very sorry to hear about the situation with your family. Praying for you and the ministry. Stay strong for Jesus Christ brother.
I appreciate all of the work you do. To be honest: its better for a grandfather to pass away rather than a grandchild, eh? I’ll pray for you and hope you endure hardness like a fellow soldier.
Praise the Lord you made it back safe.
So sorry for the loss of your grandfather.
Your news is the news I trust the most & I sincerely appreciate you.
May God bless & keep you.✝️❤️
I am glad you’re back, Jacob. I know what it feels like to lose a grandfather, so I do feel for you, as do many others on here, I am sure! Love your articles; keep them coming! 🙂
I just pray your grandfather was saved, Jacob, & I’m glad you honored his life & your grandmother, too, though what funerals have become is vexing to say the least. More merchandising & sorcery.
Anyways, life in this world is brief in comparison to eternity, and only a very few in each generation, true Christians included, really see this world & the war biblically, understanding what they fight. Don’t forget that Hezekiah opened his storehouse to the Babylonians, & that Manasseh, the wickedness king Judah ever had, was born in those fifteen extra years the Lord gave at his request for a longer life here.
–
Even so, after being seriously humbled, Manasseh repented, was restored & did everything he could to undo the damage & to honor the Lord before the people. But the nation was to be judged, & the LORD would not relent, because of all the innocent blood shed polluting the land.
–
We live in similar times.
–
God bless you, and thankful you made the trip safely & are back at work. Sources for truth are dwindling. Feeling my own inadequacy, though it doesn’t matter what we feel so much as to obey, then feeling tends to follow as we possess the reins & hand them over to Christ. Only too easy to panic & grab them back, though, & to our loss!

Ps 90:1-17 of 17 KJB ¶ A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Ps 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Ps 90:3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
Ps 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Ps 90:5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
Ps 90:6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
Ps 90:7 ¶ For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Ps 90:8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
Ps 90:9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
Ps 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Ps 90:11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Ps 90:12 ¶ So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Ps 90:13 Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
Ps 90:14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Ps 90:15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
Ps 90:16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
Ps 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
I hope so too. If so, he was quite fallen away, unfortunately. My biggest regret was not utilizing all the wisdom he had.
Thanks for your continued support and prayers.
Praise the Lord you made it home safe and sound.Thank you for all your hard work on shedding light in this dark world.May God continue to bless you in all you do for the body of Christ.
