The headline reads, “In a break with the past, U.S. is using intel to fight an info war with Russia, even when the intel isn’t rock solid.” And the subheading, quoted from an U.S. official, stated: “It doesn’t have to be solid intelligence. It’s more important to get out ahead of them [the Russians], Putin specifically, before they do something.”
In other words, ‘We don’t have to tell the truth, but we’ll report and preach it as if it is.’
Or, in the words of Mike Pompeo – a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director from 2017-2018, and the Secretary of State under President Trump’s Administration – who once jokingly stated at a forum:
When I was a cadet, what’s the first – what’s the first cadet motto at West Point? ‘You will not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those that do.’
I was the CIA Director: we lied, we cheated, we stole. It’s like – it was like – we had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment.
Pompeo stated, to a crowd who laughed and applauded his words.
And so, in the case of NBC, this is not a “break from the past:” this is what they have always done for a living, and is their goal.
And the implications of running a ‘report’ such as this – or maybe this is another “preemptive” piece to get lackluster “intelligence” out to the masses, too, right? – makes one consider all that has been told about Covid-19, or really, any story for that matter.
CBS Caught Broadcasting Fake News [As Usual] On The Severity Of Covid-19
Here are some snippets from that NBC article:
It was an attention-grabbing assertion that made headlines around the world: U.S. officials said they had indications suggesting Russia might be preparing to use chemical agents in Ukraine.
President Joe Biden later said it publicly. But three U.S. officials told NBC News this week there is no evidence Russia has brought any chemical weapons near Ukraine. They said the U.S. released the information to deter Russia from using the banned munitions.
It’s one of a string of examples of the Biden administration’s breaking with recent precedent by deploying declassified intelligence as part of an information war against Russia. The administration has done so even when the intelligence wasn’t rock solid, officials said, to keep Russian President Vladimir Putin off balance. Coordinated by the White House National Security Council, the unprecedented intelligence releases have been so frequent and voluminous, officials said, that intelligence agencies had to devote more staff members to work on the declassification process, scrubbing the information so it wouldn’t betray sources and methods.
Observers of all stripes have called it a bold and so far successful strategy — although not one without risks.
The idea is to pre-empt and disrupt the Kremlin’s tactics, complicate its military campaign, “undermine Moscow’s propaganda and prevent Russia from defining how the war is perceived in the world,” said a Western government official familiar with the strategy.
Multiple U.S. officials acknowledged that the U.S. has used information as a weapon even when confidence in the accuracy of the information wasn’t high. Sometimes it has used low-confidence intelligence for deterrent effect, as with chemical agents, and other times, as an official put it, the U.S. is just “trying to get inside Putin’s head.”
[Some Republicans have praised these actions:] “You were spot on in your intelligence,” Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., said at the House’s annual worldwide threats hearing last month, addressing Burns and other intelligence agency leaders. “Your decision to declassify, both the form and the fashion in which you did so, saved lives. Sleep well, and thank you for doing that.”
It doesn’t have to be solid intelligence when we talk about it. It’s more important to get out ahead of them — Putin specifically — before they do something. It’s preventative. We don’t always want to wait until the intelligence is 100 percent certainty that they are going to do something. We want to get out ahead to stop them.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1 Corinthians 15:33
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Revelation 22:15
This should come as no surprise to regulars of The WP, or really anyone that is at least partially awake to some semblance of reality. But, what is really incredible (but again, not shocking), are the fickle masses that eat. this. stuff. up. The media is literally saying they are lying to you, under the masquerade of “preemptive” measures, and the masses just sit there eating it up, and applaud their actions; whether it be left or right and the different specters of propaganda: there’s a flavor for everyone.
As I have been saying, and more than proved, that what the media is saying – both mainstream and alternative media, for both political sides and in-betweens – are completely lies. But, as NBC would tell you, “the ends justify the means.”

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
