“We will supply food and crops only to our friends (fortunately, we have a lot of them, and they are not at all in Europe and not in North America). We will sell both for rubles and for their national currency in agreed proportions.”

Russia, in another comeback response to the West and NATO’s sanctions levied against them, is now threatening to limit and cut off exports of agricultural goods to “friendly” nations only.

One week ago Russia made a powerplay in response to the West’s restrictions, forcing nations to purchase their natural gas supplies – those imperative for Europe – must be purchased in Russian Rubles.

Dmitry Medvedev, the current deputy secretary for Russia, and the former president from 2008 to 2012, posted on Telegram on the 1st warning of this potential move, cited by Breitbart.

It turns out that our food is our quiet weapon. Quiet but ominous.

The priority in food supplies is our domestic market. And price control.

We will supply food and crops only to our friends (fortunately, we have a lot of them, and they are not at all in Europe and not in North America). We will sell both for rubles and for their national currency in agreed proportions.

He further noted that Russia would not ship agricultural products to countries they view as “enemies.”

And we won’t buy anything from them (although we haven’t bought anything since 2014, but the list of products prohibited for import can be further expanded).

The Trends Journal notes that these “enemies” and “unfriendly” nations include: the U.S., U.K., the E.U., Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Epoch Times reiterated some of what this entails (as noted in other WinePress reports as well, covering the spectrum of things that will be in short supply now and to come):

Russia serves as a major global exporter of several commodities, including sunflower oil, barley, and wheat; the latter of which it mainly supplies to Africa and the Middle East.

It is the world’s largest exporter of wheat, according to the Observatory of Economic Complexity, having exported $10.1B in wheat in 2020 alone, despite the global COVID-19 pandemic and various supply chain issues.

The European Union and Ukraine are its main competitors in the wheat trade, which manifests as items such as pasta, bread, cereal, and fried foods for consumers.

A ban on exports of certain agriculture products to so-called “unfriendly” countries could put further pressure on those nations that are already bracing for potential food shortages resulting from the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine and subsequent western sanctions.

However, it is unlikely that the United States would likely experience any significant shortages, whereas European countries that are more dependent on Russia for imports, as well as less economically developed nations, could see fewer products on supermarket shelves.

As concerning fuel exports, Gazprom – Russia’s largest oil company – recently cutoff shipments to Europe; and these new contracting deals must be made in Rubles and opened through Gazprombank, a subsidiary to Gazprom.

But France and Germany are still sticking to their guns, claiming that Russia’s move is a breach on contract on their end.

We looked at the contracts. They say that payments are made in euros, sometimes dollars…I made clear in my conversation with the Russian president that that will remain the case.

German chancellor Olaf Scholz told a press briefing last week.

The Trends Journal notes, ‘Europe has not embargoed Russian gas deliveries but has launched a plan to replace two-thirds of them with other energy sources by the end of this year and to use no Russian fuels by 2030.’

However, Russian officials have noted this will be a gradual transition, and not necessarily an immediate one.

[The switch from dollars will be an] absolutely thought-out, gradual and carefully calibrated activity. It is impossible to act otherwise.

Nobody is in a rush. This is the move in stages, very cautious, with consideration of financial and economic realities existing on global markets. Certainly, there is no room for sudden changes.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Proverbs 21:1

In my one report, I titled it “Checkmate,” because the move Russia is making has basically allowed them to take preeminence and kick the West to the curb. Russia knows they can sweat out Europe, and with France and Germany remaining obstinate – trying to act all “patriotic” and “nationalistic,” as to “stick it” to Russia – they are guaranteeing that their people, and more to follow, are going to suffer for it: which is the whole point, per this “Great Reset” and “Build Back Better:” they must destroy it first and realign the power structure.

[12] They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine: [13] And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them. [14] Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them. [15] Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say. [16] Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men. [17] And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword. [18] Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you. [19] And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

Jeremiah 5:12-19

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Jeremiah 5:12-19 is speaking to the nation of Israel but boy oh boy, it fits America like a glove.
I read verse 15 and automatically I thought of China, a language that the vast majority of America don’t understand one tiny jot of-the primary dialect being Mandarin, Shanghai has its own dialect, Cantonese is typically spoken in Hong Kong, and I can say a few words with the accent as I’ve listened to them but the alphabet-good night Irene, I couldn’t learn it to save my life.

Imagine Chinese troops invading America. I heard Bryan saying and he’s super right “if you (America) start persecuting Kong James Bible believers, you’re done as a nation!” I have an imagination sorta storytelling fantasy of King James Bible believers being persecuted by church buildings with their use of the government 501c3 and using homeland security to do it-and because of that, China invades America but it comes under the ruse of “China will be conducting training and drills in America agreement is signed and US troops are ordered to stand down,” and America ESPECIALLY the church buildings will experience a massacre that will rock the foundations!

What are your thoughts, Jacob or readers?

    • Chinese and Russian troops are already training in Canada and Mexico, but the media is trying to keep that suppressed. Russia is roughly 75 miles away from Alaska, so an invasion would come from three to four different angles. Similarly to Israel and Judah, famine and disease will happen first, and then an invasion. How far away is America from that? I am not sure, but it’s approaching.

      • WHAT! Chinese and Russians training in Canada and Mexico? Can you say close? They can easily invade from Canada via New York, Washington state, and Michigan and they can invade from Mexico via Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California as well as the Gulf of Mexico.

      • But what do you think of my imagined cautionary tale? It’s not a prophecy I MUST make that clear, it’s just a mental adventure and story I make up but it’s based on the King James Bible and from what I’ve learned and still learning from Bryan.
