Ratings for the Grammys and other award shows have been going down the toilet. And now, everyone is talking.

They got what they wanted. Year over year people were genuinely starting to grow weary of these pretentious and privileged propaganda and agenda pushers, and it showed in the ratings:

CNN Business reported that last year’s Oscars only pulled in an average of 9.8 million viewers, a massive drop-off from the 23.6 million average a year prior – which is still lower than the reported average 40 million they would nab several years before that.

I could absolutely careless about the Oscars, or any of these award ceremonies, and have not for quite a longtime. I didn’t even know that the Oscars were on last night until a couple of hours prior to it beginning.

As a journalist, I am subscribed to different news portals that I can view to see what is going on. Prior to the Oscars going live, one particular app decided to notify me of two different articles: one by The Independent, titled “Oscars ‘wokefest’ has turned off viewers, say critics. Does the ‘DiCaprio effect’ on climate prove them wrong?;” and another by the Los Angeles Times called “The Oscars are back — but who will watch? The stakes have never been higher.”

The media was clearly hyping this up: they were getting the masses prepped for something to occur. Why else would they write articles bashing their buddies in the industry?

So when famous actor and comedian Will Smith – the man who once partnered with Nelson Mandela in a campaign called “46664: It’s In Our Hands” – stepped up and slapped another iconic actor, Chris Rock, across the face after making a bad joke about Smith’s wife, and then shouted twice to “keep my wife’s name out of your f****** mouth!”: boy ‘o boy did that get people talking immediately all over social media.

Binside TV: NELSON MANDELA_
[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Revelation 13:16-18)

The Guardian’s uncensored video on YouTube has already accumulated 40 million views at the time of this publication.

And yet if you watch the clip, Smith laughed Chris Rock’s joke about his wife, who can be seen visually not happy about Rock’s joke. Then the camera pans away and then Smith walks up on stage, Rock stands there, leans in and bracing for the hit (which at some angles it doesn’t even look like Smith’s hand connected), the audio cuts out and instead of hearing a distinct slap, we get the sound of a boom mic that get’s thumped, Smith strolls off, and then starts cursing on live television.

To which, Rock said “That was the greatest night in the history of television.”

And yet the zombie hoards of Americans, and other Westerners, are eating this garbage up hook, line, and sinker; believing that an accomplished actor and slapped another accomplished actor on stage, and the ‘beef’ is actually real.

This is the only reason I am bringing this to your attention. I could careless about spoiled, silver-spooned, rich kid playground drama, as do regulars of The WinePress feel the same; but lest you think that the masses are discerning, get on social media and YouTube and read the comments: these fickle people actually believe this is real!

And yet, we have footage of Smith’s interaction after the slap during commercial break: he’s acting all chummy and shoulder bumping with his “bros.” And yet people in the comments are still thinking it’s real, and are praising Rock for his “professionalism.”

Moreover, supposedly, one guy has claimed that he wrote the script for that stage acting. “Comic claims he wrote Will Smith and Chris Rock smack saga and is ‘proud’ of response,” The Mirror reported. Is that true? Don’t know, don’t care.

But when this slap happened in the middle of the broadcast that hardly anyone tuned in for or knew about, and social media began to buzz, I’m sure people tuned in then, didn’t they? I’m sure the ADVERTISERS and network were quite pleased.

[10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. [17] Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

1 Timothy 6:10, 17

And afterwards, Smith won an award, and he cried plenty of crocodile tears on stage for everyone.

But beyond pacifying the advertisers and network executives to recoup some lost cash, this seems to be another implicit ploy against free speech and opinions. Because now if someone makes a joke you don’t like, you can feel empowered and justify hitting your neighbor across the face, and “canceling” them that way. We see how narcissistic and fickle the masses have been in the response to fighting the Covid war, and coddling up to Ukraine for the Russia-Ukraine conflict, so I’m sure these same weirdos will find this empowering and will emulate this, but with even more Tom & Jerry cartoon shenanigans.

Simply put, it is no longer that the masses are just plain deceived: they are just flatout STUPID. I mean that: the masses are just stupid, completely and utterly. They believe anything you tell them. Forget about how their rights are being raped in broad daylight each day, they are in piles of debt with an already dead economy, their health is gone, the Great Reset is being literally slapped across their faces constantly; but THIS, this is what they care about the most…

A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

Proverbs 10:23

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • I haven’t watched the Oscars in years. It’s as dull as staring at cobwebs. A bunch of pampered multimillionaire actors who pay each other on the back and are more pompous than they normally are, they hypocritically pretend to care for starving children, the homeless, animals, and so on, meanwhile they’re wearing 100,000 dollar dresses and suits and $2 million earrings.

Same thing I feel about the Miss America or Miss Universe beauty pageants, haven’t seen it since 2005 and frankly, I think it’s pointless. Sorta off topic, but what are your thoughts on Miss America/Miss Universe?
