The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) says that 55% of all eggs in the U.K. are considered “free-range.”

Starting today, British consumers will be prohibited from buying higher quality free-range eggs at the grocery store, in a move by the government to prevent the spread of an avian bird flu that is reportedly transmitting from farm to farm.

The WinePress has been following the spread of this purported bird flu since the media sounded the alarm on it in at the end of 2021, where it is believed to have sprung loose in Israel, resulting in the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of hens and wild cranes.

The same strain of flu has reportedly spread internationally, and has reportedly plagued many Mid-western and Great Lake states in the U.S., again, forcing farms under government mitigation and mandated slaughter of their livestocks of chickens and turkeys in mid-February.

Just a couple of weeks ago The WP reported again that this spread of avian bird flu has continued to ravage farms, leading to more farmers have to cull their populations of chickens and other birds.

These same fears have been an on-going ordeal in the U.K. According to Today News Post, the birds have not been allowed outside since November of last year due to fears of the birds contracting the flu.

And so now, moving forward, “free-range” eggs will now be labeled as the same cheaper conventional egg classified as “barn eggs,” a title that represents flocks that are raised strictly inside cages and barns their entire life. The BBC notes that birds that are raised inside for more than 16 weeks are then deemed “barn eggs.”

In the U.K., “free-range” eggs are produced from birds ‘that, during the daytime, enjoy unlimited access to outdoor pastures,’ the BBC explains.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) says that 55% of all eggs in the U.K. are considered “free-range.”

Stores will put signs up around the shops to alert consumers to the change, noting that free-range will return after the chickens are permitted to exit the barns once the government decides the fears of the avian flu have subsided.

The risk to the general public’s health from avian influenza is very low.

However, the risk to people with intensive exposure to infected birds is considered to be low.

Food Standards Scotland advises that avian influenzas pose a very low food safety risk for consumers, and it does not affect the consumption of poultry products, including eggs.

This is an incredibly difficult time for all bird owners and vigilance remains vital.

Aimee Mahony, chief poultry adviser at the National Farmers’ Union

Mahony additionally stated that farmers are following “stringent biosecurity measures” and ‘adapting hen houses to make birds more comfortable,’ the BBC reports.

The BBC report further explains the difference between the legal definitions of free-range and barn-raised eggs:

‘Both “barn” and “free range” eggs meet the RSPCA’s welfare standards, because the hens that lay them have freedom and space to move around, along with perches for roosting and nest boxes.’

‘The difference is that for barn hens, this all happens inside, whereas free-range hens can access to the outside through “popholes” – although bird flu restrictions have put a stop to this.’

‘The RSPCA says consumers buy more boxes of free range and barn eggs than those from caged hens, which are also known as battery hens.’

‘However, the charity says a large proportion of eggs used as ingredients in products like mayonnaise, cakes and sandwiches are still from hens kept in cages.’

‘It says battery cages provide less than the size of an A4 piece of paper of space per bird and have limited facilities for perching, nesting and scratching and do not meet its welfare standards.’

‘The charity says about 35% of egg-laying hens are still kept in cages.’

The U.K. has already been dealing with other issues concerning meat and produce production, such as the case last year when the hundreds of thousands of swine were to be executed due to labor shortages.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Regular readers know what I am about to say:

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

So now, not only are the world governments forcibly creating even more supply chain problems, and food shortages and famine, they are now getting rid of the higher-grade eggs that have more nutrition and less chemicals, hormones, steroids, and vaccines; for a “flu” that is about as real as “Covid-19” ever was and is. Assuming that there is something going around, I assert that it is because of the chemicals and pesticides, and antibiotics, and immense amounts of EMFs and 4G/5G.

If you are in the U.K., perhaps you can fill me on the different grades of eggs and produce there. Here in the United States “free-range” is a joke. There are basically four different tenets here:

The conventional garbage, being the cheapest, with bleached and brittle shells, with a sickly-pale yolk, raised from a Frankenstein chicken; “Cage-Free” are the same Frankenstein chickens but not in a cage, but still cannot move around at all; “Free-Range” is very deceptive, as, under government specifications, these chickens must be given a bare minimum of a couple of feet of access to outside, giving them the option to roam around in that confined couple of feet (none of what I said is hyperbole), and can earn USDA Organic clearance, which means these chickens are certainly better than the conventional, but still relatively unhealthy; and “Pasture-raised” being the way God intended it, allowing the chickens to frolic in the fields, and eat the bugs and the plants in the field, along with additional feed the farmers wish to give. Pasture-raised is the way to go, and those labeled USDA Organic mean that the additional feed that was given was deemed organic, though Pastured-raised eggs without that label do not automatically mean the feed was cheap junk.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Evil. They typify the spirit they serve & its culmination. They want to cut off every alternative & every good thing of God’s design & evidencing his existence & superiority, sovereignty, provision. Playing ‘god’ with the same delusions as Lucifer fallen to become Satan & that serpent more subtle than any beast of the field the LORD God had made. Ezekiel 28, Isaiah 14, Genesis 3 KJB. But Psalm 2, Psalm 14, 1 Thessalonians 5 KJB. All the more reason to quietly resist, find ways to be as Gideon, not giving up, even reaping down in a well. Find ways to share w/ those open to the Gospel & questioning, daring to love in the truth which brings risk & requires faith & courage, even as the persecuted under the first pagan Romans, & the early manifestations of this in Europe & Asia with the two arms of coverted craft Babylonian corporatism: fascism and communism. Idolatry.

Zechariah 11:15 ¶ And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
Zec 11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
Zec 11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
