And so, as part of China’s rapid expansion, the nation is building cities just for the sake building cities. In 2013 Gizmodo reported that China was building these cities so fast the people could not even move into them quick enough. And many of these cities are designed to emulate other popular cities around the world, Paris, Dubai, or even replicas of Disney World. But ultimately many of them today still remain barren and forgotten.
Needless to say, these investments cost quite a bit of money, money that ultimately goes to waste and only adds to China’s expanding debts and deficits – something economists have long since warned could come to haunt them down the road.
And that debt load is tantamount: as The Epoch Times reported this year that the debt is worth approximately $116.6 trillion. To make a long story short:
This implies that we need to rethink the entire story of Chinese development and finance since probably about 2000.
Excessive indebtedness is distributed in virtually every sector of the economy. Before, if there was a shock to the corporate sector, householders and the government could step in and help. However, virtually no sector of the Chinese economy does not have an enormous indebtedness. Distributing it throughout simply lowers the capacity to handle a shock.

Regulars of The WinePress know that I have been covering the advancement and construction of these smart cities and technologies like crazy. And as we know, the plan is to have the masses living in these smart cities by the year 2030, where, as the World Economic Forum says, “You’ll Own Nothing and Be Happy.”
My theory is, I wonder – going beyond China’s hyper expansion – some of this construction, it not most or all of it, was premeditated and the government was already looking ahead to further jampack the citizens into these smart cities ahead of time. The only thing the Chinese would have to do is reoutfit these cities with the latest and modern gear, and then they’d have their autonomous mind-controlling cities.

Maybe I’m just over-thinking things, but it seems like a ‘good’ opportunity for them to pack away their people like sardines into these smart cities. Then again, China already does that…

I was thinking that as well. That while the world will think that China is just wasting money, for me the smart cities and agenda 2030 come to mind. I don’t think it would take too much for them to set up these “ghost cities” with the tech needed to turn them into smart cities. I think they have a plan to use these for something in the future. Time will tell. On a side note since being saved when I read Revelation it says that the dragon gives the beast its power. I don’t know if there is anything there to make of but China comes to my mind. Then I learned that China is really big about dragons and believing they are a great source of power. And seeing their high tech controlling government. Just interesting thought. I know it doesn’t really matter to us who are saved as we will not be here when the antichrist shows up. But I wondered if anyone else has thought this. But more important than that is to be wise and diligent. Our eyes being opened to what is going on and to get out of the cities and do our best to stay away from these smart technologies.

Huh, good point. I didn’t think about taking this verse literary, I thought it was figurative, BUT it does makes sense: Chinese people are open to worshiping a dragon, and that dragon will give power (electricity) to the beast (maybe smart cities or some cyborg).

After a nuclear war in Europe, these buildings will be home for all survivors and refuges. Europe will have small to nothing left habitble without radiation.

There’s those angels chained who kept not their first estate. Angels bound in the Euphrates. Some connection with Jeremiah 13, 46 & 51, when the Lord commanded Jeremiah to go give the prophecy of destruction to Babylon, then to weight the scroll with a stone & cast it into the Euphrates. Compare Revelation 9&16, & history. Chapter 46 is when Babylon with a consortium of Medes&Persians, overcame & replaced the Assyrian-Egyptian alliance at the battle of Carchemish (Greco worldly history title). Terrible. It’s a terrible awe that it brings to the Christian observing it. I’m reminded of the silence in heaven in Revelation, because it brings you to that sort of awe & fear of the Lord at his might & power, like at Sinai….before there’s that release w/ remembrance, & the burst of praise & gratefulness & thanksgiving for his salvation, & having peace with God in Christ…for his forgiveness. The forgiveness of such a mighty, holy God who strikes one dumb & stricken with the sense of one’s sin & inadequacy simply APPROACHING his presence with the understanding, let alone literally.
