Right now, the way that we have seen, it is necessary, a fourth booster right now. The protection that you are getting from the third, it is good enough, actually quite good for hospitalizations and deaths.
It’s not that good against infections but doesn’t last very long. But we are just submitting those data to the FDA [Food and Drug Administration], and then we will see what the experts also will say outside Pfizer.

Margaret Brennan for “Face The Nation” asked Bourla if he feels he will be able to avoid similar complications and befuddlement over boosters as they did in the summer of 2021.
I think so. And I think right now we need to be very well coordinated, CDC, FDA and the industry, so that we are all providing to the American people and to the world a cohesive picture rather than confusion.
Bourla emphasized the company’s goal to create a vaccine that is a preventative against all Covid vaccines.
We are working very diligently right now … to make not only a vaccine that will protect against all variants, including omicron, but also something that can protect for at least a year. And if we be able to achieve that, then I think it is very easy to follow and remember so that we can go back to really the way used to live.
Bourla accentuated the same need for a pan-coronavirus vaccine on Friday on CNBC.
We can’t have vaccines every five to six months. We need to be able to move as soon as possible to a situation that [of] an annual revaccination – will do the job.
We are working [on] new versions that will try to provide this annual protection. But also we know that the virus mutates so we are working on new versions that will be able to protect not only against the old viruses, but also all variants, but also against Omicron.
[…] We are making a vaccine that covers Omicron and all the other variants.
Last updated on February 16th, USA Facts records that 76% of the population has received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine, and 64% have taken two shots. However, only 28% of the eligible population has received a booster shot.

In February I reported that Bill Gates will be soon releasing a new book about how to prevent the next pandemic, I noted something that Gates stated on his official blogsite, as a forecast for this year:
Communities will still see occasional outbreaks, but new drugs will be available that could take care of most cases and hospitals will be able to handle the rest. Your individual risk level will be low enough that you won’t need to factor it into your decision-making as much. It won’t be primary when deciding whether to work from the office or let your kids go to their soccer game or watch a movie in a theater. In a couple years, my hope is that the only time you will really have to think about the virus is when you get your joint COVID and flu vaccine every fall.
I think mRNA vaccines will ultimately be seen as the most consequential breakthrough of the pandemic. Proving that mRNA works as a vaccine platform has been a massive gamechanger—not just for this pandemic, but for the next one too. Now that mRNA is well-established, we’ll be able to develop safe and effective vaccines super-fast in the future.
In that aforementioned January report, The WP cited a report from the Trends Journal which, based on Bourla’s forecasts and the Journal’s opinions, I disagreed that the Covid war would fade away. I wrote:

Right before last year’s COP26 Summit, the G20 Nations met at Rome and agreed to get the population 70% vaccinated by mid-summer this year. And then watch them extend it some more. Needless to say, the pressure WILL ramp up, as more and more of the vaccinated get sick and die – something the Trends Journal, like, the rest of mainstream and most alternative media, will NOT acknowledge.
And so, right on cue, as we enter mid-March, and with Spring Break beginning all over the nation, now we are seeing the media and health giants reappear and reigniting the Covid war. Just yesterday I reported about how the media is reigniting fears of a purported sub-variant of the made-up Omicron variant. Several days prior the WHO warned that the Russia-Ukraine conflict will generate a new outbreak of infections and disease.
And so, when Bourla said we would see a return to normal, what he meant was their normal, the “new normal” they call it.
As I have been warning about, the Covid war is not going away, and they are reigniting it as we speak. The setup is perfect: refugee crisis accelerated in Europe, restrictions being dropped in tandem, the largest Spring Break we have not seen in a while are now gathering, people are eager to get back out, and so on. It’s as if the media pressed the pause button on Covid, switched over to Russia-Ukraine, and are now starting to float out the Covid fears again. Perhaps they are about to try both at once?

By recommending a fourth shot, it accomplishes the goal of getting more of the masses to finish off the original two-dose cycle, and encourage more people to get their third booster shot. Only a very slim few will actually go out and get a fourth, though there will be some monkeys that actually rush to get another one.
