Former President Donald Trump’s new social media outlet that he owns is set to release in the coming days, with an app by the end of March. Currently the new platform, Truth Social, is now allowing beta testers to trial it.
According to Reuters, roughly ‘500 people have started using an early version of the app, which has pledged to deliver an “engaging and censorship-free experience.”’
The creation of this new social media outlet was in response to all the censorship and cancellation of Trump from major outlets, such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and so on.
However, Truth Social has some items listed in it’s terms of service section that could also be forms of censorship.
In category seven of “prohibited activities,” 2 of the 24 items standout:
Number 4 prohibits the “use [of] the Site to advertise or offer to sell goods and services.” In comparison, Twitter and Facebook allow this, and have many years, allowing for many small businesses to market their product and service.
Number 23 bans users the ability to “disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site.” In other words, do not challenge and speak badly about them. Again, in comparison, places like YouTube and Twitter do allow for heavy critics of their platforms. Some of the largest channels on YouTube rip on the platform.

These prohibitions are minor in the totality of it all, but it is still tighter than Twitter and other platforms in some respects. I am NOT defending these big tech overlords for a second (as I know I will get hate mail from the Trumpers), but it just shows you that Trump is not for true speech, in comparison to something like Gab, for example.
This further plays into the “ignite the right” agenda: create these new avenues in response to the “woke cancel culture,” and respond by cancelling people too. Moreover, you must believe what you are allowed to see: no dissention is allowed. That is NOT freedom of speech, that is NOT freedom of the press, that is NOT “patriotism.” It IS a bait & switch that is no better than big tech in that regard.

Like the ‘comment’ sections of the Augustinian & big tent Creationist ministries which were purportedly seeking truth & evidence, an open dialogue’, to bolster the evidencing body of truth in the creation & true science ….that censored certain biblical distinctives, & evidences relating to them. Took me so long to give up on that because what they did & taught rightly was so awesome & made my heart & soul & spirit sing. They spoke of the wedge of truth, but the wedge of those little lies & hypocrisies split & divide, too. And the ‘moderators’ they put over their comment sections assured all contributions were LCD ecumenical & not ‘dangerously divisive’….& weren’t very kind about it. Jesuit and trad cat, Augustinian types.

They couldn’t be really strong or stand because they had no sure word, which always turns men to their own devices, philosophy, tradition, idolatry of & fear of men….else they’d have spoken of the light of truth and leaven, & in biblical rather than philosophical terms. There were true believers amongst them, but they were censored & silenced just like those of us on the outside attempting to share truth in the comment sections.
