As you can see by the title, I have been updating The WinePress with a new email delivery system.
I have been messing with this most of the time today, trying to get it newly integrated and working properly. I am not the most technologically wise man when it comes to this stuff, on top of the fact I have a great struggle in the flesh to stay focus and not get so easily distracted; so my brain starts leaking out of my ears!
But to give some backstory as to why I am switching to a new setup, is because I am fed-up with the old plug-in I was using. So many times readers would tell me there are not getting their updates, and neither would I. And after jumping through hoops trying to fix these “glitches,” I eventually got tired of it.
It was mainly on their end, as this company has been constantly updating their plug-in these past months to fix their own bugs; but, to make a long story short, communicating with them has been a joke, and so I decided to finally cut them loose this morning.
If you have not received your emails these past few days, I apologize, and I suggest scrolling through the latest reports on the homepage just in case you missed some newer posts.
As I said, I have been messing with a new one, that, so far, looks like I will enjoy much better.
I am still tinkering with it to get the full setup complete, but I wanted to first make sure that all my current subscribers were accounted for.
Moving forward, I have decided to change the structure of the newsletter alerts:
Instead of sending an immediate report for each post, The WinePress will now send a single email each day with all the posts for that day. In other words, if I post six articles in a day, for example, subscribers will receive just one email with all the posts in it. This way it will not bombard you with emails all the time. Rather, you can choose to read the reports all at once in the morning or at night, or whenever for the matter.
At the time of this posting, I am not sure what will be the official time I select for the automated emails, but I am leaning more towards the morning (my time, EST). Let me know what you think, or if you don’t care. This specific report will be sent out immediately (within the hour in total).
I have a bunch of reports on my plate, and some big ones coming out in the days ahead, so keep your eyes peeled for those. I would have had more out today, but trying to get this email plug-in to work took up most of my day, unfortunately.

That would probably work better. I am getting email updates but they are showing up hour and hours later.
Sounds like a better system than the one you had before. I personally think you should have the emails sent to all of us in the mornings, kinda like a morning newspaper, lol, but it’s all up to you. God bless you brother!
