As of the third quarter of 2021, a hearty Thanksgiving dinner serving of turkey costs $1.42. A tofurkey (soybean) dinner serving with the same amount of calories costs $0.66 and provides almost twice as much protein.

A federal reserve bank is giving their two cents on what to eat this Thanksgiving holiday, and it isn’t meat & poultry.

Bankers from the St. Louis Federal Reserve posted a statement on Twitter explaining that soybeans cost less per meal compared to poultry, and is a healthier choice.

A Thanksgiving dinner serving of poultry costs $1.42. A soybean-based dinner serving with the same amount of calories costs 66 cents and provides almost twice as much protein.

Furthermore, they provided more information on their site with a blog post titled “Turkey or Tofurkey?

Now for the main course: turkey (i.e., poultry) or tofurkey (i.e., soybeans)? According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, roasted turkey has almost 3 times the caloric value and 1.5 times the protein value of an equivalent serving of fried tofu by weight. Between 1990 and the time of this writing, the average global price of poultry has been 6 times higher than the price of soybeans.

As of the third quarter of 2021, a hearty Thanksgiving dinner serving of turkey costs $1.42. A tofurkey (soybean) dinner serving with the same amount of calories costs $0.66 and provides almost twice as much protein. Keep in mind that this plant-based meal would be almost 3 times larger by weight than the poultry-based meal and may either keep you at the dinner table longer or provide you with more leftovers. Of course, our calculations here don’t include the time value, energy costs, and additional ingredients required to cook the meals.

This “tofurkey” (tofu molded into a turkey-like shape) is reminiscent of an episode of the popular American sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” where Raymond’s mother Marie decided to cook a more vegan-style Thanksgiving and a “tofu turkey,” but the family was horrified and had to gag it down in disgust – at a time when a faux meats were still taboo and a joke for the majority of people.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

I thought I’d include a little humor with this one, especially when I saw they were promoting a tofu turkey! But in all seriousness:

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. [6] If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

1 Timothy 4:1-6

These federal reserve banks – which are neither federal or a reserve – are pushing this narrative, not because they are “woke,” but because it is a satanic globalist agenda – an agenda that is only in the first few innings. Outlawing it is has not become widespread yet, but will soon enough.

  • I’ve heard of Tofurkey, or tofu turkey. I wouldn’t feed that to a homeless person I’d get him or her REAL turkey and a care pack too! That tofu garbage is ultra processed fake mystery not meat unsuitable for consumption by human or animal.

  • Tofu is soy-based and therefore full of al ot of unneeded estrogen. I was fed soy formula because I would not drink the pasteurized white milk as an infant. Most modern 50s and 60s moms did not breastfeed in those days and mine was no exception. Later on as an adult, I was diagnosed with a problem with my parathyroids, blamed on that soy formula for causing, that only their removal would solve. I put off surgery for as long as I could because of the trauma of going under ether for a tonsillectomy at the age of 7. I eventually went through with it, but I also had a baptist preacher praying over me before the operation and a competent Jewish doctor performing the surgery. The surgery went exceptionally well. It’s only just recently that I found out an inexpensive product, ingested, could have taken care of the problem.
