“Here we are facing not only pig farmers going out of business but a welfare disaster. We are putting vets in the most horrendous position of having to shoot pigs on farm that should be going to be high quality pork in the food chain.”

The U.K.-based National Pig Association (NPA) announced that as many as 150,000 healthy swine could be slaughtered, only to essentially be thrown in the trash can, because of a large shortage of slaughterhouse staff and drivers to transport the meat.

Jack Ellis of AgFunder News said, “that’s unforgivable.”

Even though the pigs are healthy and ready for consumption, the lack of staff causes delays in their processing, such as being transported to the slaughterhouse on time. This breakdown of the system generates a snowball effect: the pigs are forced to reside on the farms longer, resulting in pigs aging more, getting even heavier – so much so it makes transportation of them even harder -, and forces farmers to spend more money on feed.

Zoe Davies, chief of executive of NPA told Sky News that she had talked to “grown men in tears” of just the thought of disposing of good and healthy pigs. Davies and her organization has been sounding the alarm on the rising problems since August.

These are animals that they have reared, fed, looked after, cared for. To actually then kill something that’s perfectly healthy, to then go in the bin, it’s just criminal.

She further lamented that these problems will not be ending anytime soon because slaughterhouses cannot get enough workers.

[The situation is] absolutely devastating.

Here we are facing not only pig farmers going out of business but a welfare disaster. We are putting vets in the most horrendous position of having to shoot pigs on farm that should be going to be high quality pork in the food chain.

Minette Batters, president of the UK National Famers Union, also told the BBC in an interview

The problem in the industry has got considerably worse over the last three weeks. [A cull] involves either shooting [the pigs] on the farm or taking them to an abattoir and disposing of them in a skip.

These animals won’t go into the food chain – they will either be rendered, or sent for incineration. It is an absolute travesty.

NPA chair Rob Mutimer, told the BBC

Much of this information was passed onto U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson. But when pressed by the media, Johnson had a flippant attitude about it, and appeared to not know what he was talking about.

I’m afraid our food processing industry does involve the killing [of] a lot of animals. That is the reality. Your viewers need to understand that. That’s just what happens.

Johnson expressed that these slaughter issues – along with other major problems such as the fuel and food shortage in the U.K. – a necessary “period of adjustment” that the UK population “need[s] to see,” due to the Brexit deals and fallout from Covid-related pandemonium and restrictions, he said on the Andrew Marr Show, a program owned by the BBC.

Ellis of AgFunder goes on to note some of the many problems nations are facing worldwide concerning energy, food, supplies, and so on. He dismissed Johnson flippant attitude towards this problem, and suggested some concepts that could be adopted; such as more ‘mobile abattoirs,’ resulting in more direct interaction with consumers.

To conclude his report, Ellis also notes this as a way to alleviate some of the backlogging of meat processing:

Looking farther into the future, startups and corporates alike are hard at work developing alternative proteins that are made from plants or microbes, or are cultivated from animal cells. Over the long term, these can help us dial down our reliance on livestock production – further reducing the risk of senseless culls like that which the UK is now contemplating.

It should be noted that AgFunder itself has invested millions into faux meat companies, as noted in previous WinePress reports.

The rapid growth and acceptance of plant-based and lab-grown meats is like a wild fire, and is something The WinePress has reported on numerous times. Moreover, the move to alternative “meats” are major tenets of getting nations to transition and accept these fake meats – per Agendas 2030 and 2050.

Not long ago The Netherlands – which produces way more meat than the U.K. -is considering trimming down their livestock on farms by at least 30%.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

These actions to ruin the supply-chains, particularly the meat markets, are totally artificial. The farmers and abattoirs themselves are not causing it (though some probably are because of backdoor deals), but because of all the nonsense with the Covid restrictions, stimulus and benefits, and vaccination status, people are staying away. All of that plays into it. And because of that, the handlers (the unnamed puppet masters we never get to see) have LONG planned for the artificial reactions of the masses to their artificial problem they create.

And so what is the artificial solution? Why, artificial meats, of course. Just plug in the word “meats” in the search bar on The WP, and you’ll see the numerous reports on the many developments on the issue.

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

  • Just a couple comments on this. Mercola put up a study in which the details of producing these ‘miracle meat’ fakes were shared, proving that it’s really not cost-effective or even possible to do large scale at this point because the cultures have no ‘immune system’ & have to be produced in pharma level sanitation conditions….even a sniffle, an unclean glove, something in the water or water lines, a temperature deviation ….has caused whole production line cultures to die-off and/or to spoil. They are setting up starvation really. Revelation 6 level famine. https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2021/10/07/lab-grown-meat-is-a-disaster-in-the-making.aspx

And because that link will be gone in less than 24 hours, here’s his main source link for folks to do their own research. https://thecounter.org/lab-grown-cultivated-meat-cost-at-scale/

I note that they are beginning the live animal culling & farm/food production takedown with pork for a reason. The same reason that it is currently so much cheaper than beef, borrego or mutton: because Jews & Muslims won’t eat it, so it draws in these ‘Abrahamic’ ‘monotheistic’ religions as the world sees them….along with the vegetarian extremists in the cults, such as Seventh Day Adventism, many Jehovah’s Witnesses etc…..to join the other Cosmic Humanists and pagans already on board with the new take on ‘pro-life’ and elevating beasts/dishonoring mankind & his Creator in whose image he was made (regardless of where you stand on the issue of that image being utterly broken, or absolutely & utterly destroyed by the Fall).

Of course, the wicca, neo-pagans, BLM and First Nations, voodoo & santeria peoples….and self-righteous sodomites desperately seeking to self-justify & prove their ‘superiority’ etc will tend to go along with this as well….as they are being groomed & weaned away even from their own true pagan traditions, by the emergents & assorted ‘activists’ managing & massaging, excusing one another’s sin for profit, exploitation & merchandising. Hindus & Buddhists are largely already there. 1 Timothy 4 and 6:10 KJB….with Revelation 12’s dragon and 13-17 Beast.

The cherubs are beasts. Ezekiel 1&10, 28; and Revelation 4 KJB. It also says in Daniel that they are going to ‘renew the covenant with many for one week’…..so outlawing pork & other ceremonially unclean animals, as well as starting back up the sacrifices may be in view. Some think with cannibalism involved in a perverse literality of Rome’s evil transubstantiation doctrine….& considering the ancient pagan & not-so-ancient tribal practices of ritual cannibalism (Liberia, the demonology & mystery sex cultism that music & drugs drew Jeffrey Dahmer into, the ‘young blood’ infusion phenomenon…etc). As in the days of Noe and Lot.

You have preterists & guys like Steven Anderson calling for stoning & such things…..showing their spiritual ‘solidarity’ with those views & spirit, too.

  • Putting ‘true’ and ‘pagan’ together as I did in my earlier comment thinking through & trying to express my thoughts on these things, convicts & troubles me….better said, ‘their actual historic & evidenced pagan practices & traditions’.

  • This is just a sneak peek into this:

And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
    Revelation 6:5-6
