Two southern states in Nigeria are now implementing their Covid vaccine passports with some of the strictest caveats around the world thus far.
The two southern states of Edo and Ondo are looking to bar unvaccinated residents from a variety of indoor establishments.
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo recently announced that residents of the state will have until the second week of September to get vaccinated, or they will not be permitted to enter certain buildings.
These places includes churches, mosques, receptions, and even access to banks.
So from the second week of September, people may not be allowed to worship in churches and in mosques without showing proof of their vaccination cards at the gates.
Similarly, people will not be allowed to event centers or parties, or receptions, without showing proof of their vaccination cards at the gates of these locations.
We have made adequate arrangements with security to prevent anybody who does not have a vaccination card from accessing any of these events.
Also, you will not be allowed to access banking services in Edo State from the middle of September if you have not been vaccinated.
Governor Godwin Obaseki announced
Donald Ojogo of the State of Ondo also instigated something similar.
Evidence of vaccination will be the condition to access public places, churches, mosques.
However, not everyone took too kindly these new orders. Peaceful protestors took to the streets of Benin City, the capital – holding banners and chanting anti-Covid lingo. The demonstrators said the government has no right to implement such laws, and that getting vaccinated is to be voluntary.
‘To justify the proposed vaccination pass, authorities in Edo said that all of those who recently died from the virus in the state and 96% of those infected were unvaccinated,’ according to News 24.
One pastor from Ondo State – Pastor Adewale Giwa of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry – said he will not be getting vaccinated and has instructed his congregation to not get vaccinated either.
There is a difference between a religious leader and a spiritual leader. You can have a master’s degree in Theology, and as well be a leader in the church without being led by the Holy Spirit. Anybody who is biblically sound can also wake up today to become a religious leader recognised by a religious body or by the government.
However, spiritual leadership comprises three principal components: vision, hope and faith. A spiritual leader rules, guides and inspires others. To me, those asking their members to take COVID-19 vaccines are short-sighted religious leaders who are not led by the Holy Spirit.
Our God is omnipotent, omniscient; He is the Alpha and Omega. You don’t have more power than your creator. How can you neglect God for a vaccine?
After being vaccinated, you still have to keep all rules relating to the disease and all that. Let me repeat again that Nigeria needs Jesus Christ, not a vaccine.
As for me, you would kill me than allow myself to be vaccinated. Those who need it can take it, but as for me, members, families and loved ones, Jesus Christ is our strength.
I will maintain my position in doing what is right by God till Jesus Christ comes. Nobody can discourage or frighten me. We have to seek the truth and hold on to it.
The people of Nigeria overall have been very hesitant to get inoculated. The National Primary Health Care Development Agency said that roughly 2.8 million people have only received their first dose, as of August 31st.
The entire population of Nigeria is just shy of 212,381,000 people.
We would like to encourage governors to continue to provide leadership in the mobilisation of citizens to prioritise the acceptance of Covid-19 vaccine.
We are particularly enthused by the example shown by the Governor of Edo State.
Director of The National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Faisal Shuaib said
Since the pandemonium began in 2020, Nigeria has only recorded 195,890 cases and 2,556 deaths, according to Worldometer. But it is rumored that the nation actually has higher numbers, but testing has been low.
Nigerian authorities said they plan to vaccinate over 110 million people over the next couple of years.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
Proverbs 28:15
[28] Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. [29] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.Acts 5:28-29
These passports keep showing up everywhere. It was not long ago that parts of Italy are starting to mandate the passport for religious service, but this from Africa takes the cake at the moment. No bank AND no freedom to worship. This is just appalling.

But we understand that all this is a trial run for the coming mark of the beast: this is the first real massive step towards that (Revelation 13:16-18).
I also did a little research into that pastor. The Bible says to “Lay hands suddenly on no man” (1 Timothy 5:22), so I wanted to see where he is coming from, and I saw reports that he thinks Americans need to see Trump as a blessing from God. So I have no idea what he knows and does not know, but that’s just dead wrong, Mr. Giwa: I have proven that many times. Plus, the name of his ministry may imply that he is a post-tribber kingdom builder, but I do not know.
Remember When Trump Blamed GOD For The Plandemic?
Nevertheless, I appreciate seeing a pastor who actually has a spine to stand up to this draconian nonsense, unlike these yellow-bellied cowards here in the West.
Many of the Africans are refusing to be juiced with the death shot, and good on them for taking a stand! If we only had that America…
A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
Proverbs 14:16
But again, be prepared for more of this to occur in the West. If they can cut off the bank there, then it can happen where you are at too.
Warn those that still have ears to hear and eyes to see. We need to ‘stop the spread’ of tyranny and wickedness.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
