“Bald Men More Than Twice As Likely To Develop Severe COVID-19 Infection”
There are plenty of risk factors which place people in greater danger from COVID-19. From old age, to obesity, to heart and respiratory issues, the list seems to grow all the time. Now, scientists say the gene which leads to male hair loss also makes it up to 2.5 times more likely they’ll end up in the hospital with severe coronavirus.
Researchers, reporting their findings to the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, find men that are genetically sensitive to the male sex hormone androgen have a significantly greater chance of developing a severe COVID infection. Applied Biology, Inc. scientists examined this connection after finding a disproportionate number of balding men in COVID intensive care units.
Variations in the androgen receptor (AR) gene lead to androgenetic alopecia, a common form of hair loss. This gene affects how sensitive the body is to hormones like testosterone.
Although researchers would expect to find between 31 and 53 percent of men in the hospital with COVID-19 to have androgenetic alopecia, the study discovered the actual number was a staggering 79 percent. Moreover, the team says an enzyme tied to COVID-19 infection (TMPRSS2) is also regulated by the body’s androgen response. Therefore, AR gene variations may affect this enzyme as well.
Researchers add the polyglutamine repeat (CAG repeat) region of the AR gene has a connection to both hormone sensitivity and hair loss. With this in mind, the team investigated if there are any links between the length of the CAG repeat regions in DNA and COVID severity.
Study authors examined 65 men with COVID-19 in the hospital, measuring the CAG repeat length in each of their AR genes. Results reveal men with a CAG repeat containing fewer than 22 nucleotides were far less likely to end up in the ICU for COVID. Those with more than 22 nucleotides in the hair loss gene had significantly greater odds of severe infection.
Our data show that longer AR CAG scores are associated with more severe COVID-19 disease and indicate that AR CAG repeat length could be used as a biomarker to help identify male COVID-19 patients most at risk for ICU admissions.
The identification of a biomarker connected with the androgen receptor is another piece of evidence highlighting the important role of androgens in COVID-19 disease severity.

Dr. Goran’s team also explored a new therapy for COVID-19 which uses a novel androgen receptor antagonist to target the TMPRSS2 enzyme. By regulating how that enzyme expresses itself in patients, researchers hope to find a treatment option for coronavirus infections.
This research demonstrates the scientific value of dermatology by offering key insights into the role of genetics and its link to COVID disease.

“Scientists Confirm Humans Can Transmit COVID-19 To Cats”
For many people rushing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, one of the top reasons is likely so they can keep those they live with safe. For pet owners, a new study is only adding fuel to that fire. Researchers in the United Kingdom have discovered new evidence that humans can transmit the virus to cats.
A team studying two house cats with respiratory distress confirmed the presence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, in both. Researchers tested tissues samples for SARS‐CoV‐2 antigens as well as viral RNA to reach their conclusions. They also compared the results against 387 nasal swabs submitted for standard COVID testing during the pandemic last year.
These findings indicate that human-to-cat transmission of SARS-CoV-2 occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK, with the infected cats displaying mild or severe respiratory disease. Given the ability of the coronavirus to infect companion animals, it will be important to monitor for human-to-cat, cat-to-cat and cat-to-human transmission.
Lead author Margaret Hosie, PhD, from the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research in a media release.
The new findings are adding to growing research which finds human can pass coronavirus to their pets. From there, previous studies have discovered that infected cats can then transmit the illness to other felines.
Researchers say both house cats were tested for COVID after developing mild to severe respiratory disease. Sadly, the first cat in the study (cat 1) died of their infection.
Lung tissue collected post‐mortem from cat 1 tested positive for both SARS‐CoV‐2 nucleocapsid antigen and RNA.
The study authors
The second cat in the study (cat 2) developed both rhinitis and conjunctivitis during their illness. Results of viral genome sequencing on cat 2’s nasal swabs revealed “five single nucleotide polymorphisms” (SNPs) which are the same as the nearest human SARS‐CoV‐2 sequence active in the United Kingdom. That human strain contains eight SNPs in comparison to the original Wuhan‐Hu‐1 sequence.
While several COVID-19 strains are currently circulating around the world, it doesn’t appear that cats have their own version yet. Further testing on cat 2 and nine other SARS‐CoV‐2 sequences from felines finds no cat‐specific mutations of coronavirus.
The study appears in the journal Veterinary Record.

Many of you may not know this, but I too have been working on my own independent clinical studies of the transmission of Covid to pets. I recently tested some goldfish to see if they could contract Covid (from the oxygen in the air that comes in contact with the water, and my fingers that touch their food). I nasal swapped one of the ten fishes in the bowl, Goldy, and he, to my shock, tested positive and started floating upside down. I immediately put him in a fresh bowl isolated from the others, and put a tube in the bowl connected a O2 tank to give him more air to breathe. I had the other nine goldfish put in a new tank and closely monitored them for any symptoms. The original tank was put through a meticulous acid bath to remove all traces of bacteria, fungus, viruses, algaes, and parasites. Goldy recovered in a day after getting some proper food and fresh water with added oxygen. Though he exhibited signs of loneliness, I kept him isolated for fourteen days out of an abundance of caution. They are now all back together again in the same bowl awaiting the coveted fish flakes from Chewy that prevent aquatic Covid-19 infections by 87-93%.
Of course, I made every last bit of that up, but if you are someone reading this who believes the current Covid narrative, is what I just said any different than the rhetoric we are being propagandized with on a daily basis? I mean, seriously, these “studies” I just posted are so dumb you’d think these were satirical pieces copy and pasted straight from the Onion or the Babylon Bee.
For the umpteenth time already, The WinePress has noted that the testing measures are absolutely worthless and are guaranteed to be inaccurate. The CDC and the WHO even admit this. Hence, why Coke and ice cream can test positive.
Further Evidence That Covid-19 Is Not A Serious Infectious Disease
This nonsense surrounding the testing of pets is nothing new either, as the media has occasionally been planting those seeds of stupidity.

Vaccinating Animals? Covid Here Forever? More Media Propaganda
As regular WinePress readers know, I have been warning of the potential that the media could easily say that a Covid variant is spreading among animals, particularly among livestock (cows, chicken, pigs), causing the masses to avoid and kill off large populations of these animals – which would further fulfil biblical prophecy and further Agenda Absolute Zero.

Next, they’ll be saying that eating peanut butter causes covid. No scientific back-up for that crock whatsoever. These morons are scientists like I’m Diana Ross. Scientific as a horoscope!
