As reported by the Daily Mail, the team conducting the study stated Progesterone has certain anti-inflammatory properties that can have the ability to reduce the fatal immune response known as “cytokine storms.”
Sara Ghandehari and her colleagues at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles conducted the research. It has been reported that men seem to have more severe cases compared to women.
As an ICU doctor, I was struck by the gender disparity among COVID-19 patients who were very sick, remained in the hospital and needed ventilators.

Progesterone can be found in both genders but is far more significant in women especially during their reproductive years.
According to the report, Experts have also noted that premenopausal women tend to experience less severe cases of COVID-19 than their postmenopausal counterparts. Premenopausal women tend to have higher progesterone levels while such tends to decrease to lower levels post-menopause.
The study was conducted last year between April through August, where they recruited 40 male subjects that were hospitalized with mild to severe Covid symptoms.
One group acted as the control and was given the standard medical treatment; whereas the other group of males was given 100-milligram injections of progesterone twice daily for five days during their hospitalization.
The team assessed the subjects after 15 days or until when they were released from the hospital. They were ranked from “7 to 1.” 7 meaning that the patient was no longer hospitalized and free to do any activities, to one meaning death.
Those who received the Progesterone scored a median of 1.5 points higher compared to the others. The team noted that the differences were not drastic, but those that received the hormone treatment were in the hospital slightly less and lowered their need for a ventilator.
The study team said, No serious adverse effects were observed as a result of the progesterone injections. Two patients did die during the 15-day study period — one from each of the two groups — but such were unrelated to the experiment treatments, according to the report.
While our findings are encouraging for the potential of using progesterone to treat men with COVID-19, our study had significant limitations.
Further research is necessary in larger, more heterogeneous populations, including postmenopausal women and at other treatment centers.

I saw this “study” was from California and I said “alright say no more.” That state is the birthplace of stupidity and wreckless rebellion towards God!
What’s interesting is that men who have lots of estrogen end up really messing themselves up faster than those without. Men who take pills that are for females have a higher likelihood of getting confused, the same effect for anyone taking things or doing things for the opposite gender.
