Last night President Biden authorized bombs be dropped on select targets in Syria against Iranian-backed forces.

The Pentagon says this was because American personnel were attacked by Iraqi forces.

These strikes were authorized in response to recent attacks against American and coalition personnel in Iraq, and to ongoing threats to those personnel. Specifically the strikes destroyed multiple facilities located at a border control point used by a number of Iranian backed militant groups including Kait’ib Hezbollah and Kait’ib Sayyid al Shuhada. This proportionate military response was conducted together with diplomatic measures, including consultation with coalition partners. The operation sends an unambiguous message; President Biden will act to protect American coalition personnel. At the same time, we have acted in a deliberate manner that aims to deescalate the overall situation in both Eastern Syria and Iraq.

Pentagon to Fox News
[The] decision to strike only in Syria and not in Iraq would give the Iraqi government some breathing room as it carries out its own investigation of a Feb. 15 attack that wounded Americans.

Reuters report

Some Americans on both political sides have taken to social media to express their frustrations and concerns.

Trends Journal founder and writer Gerald Celente has a saying: “The business of America is war. The business of China is business.” On the surface that may sound exaggerated, but when you actually stop and think about it, it actually makes sense. Since WWII, what wars can America say they truly won? The many wars America has been involved in post-1945 have not turned out well, and most of them have had no clear goal other than to bomb the dickens out of these nations.

Bush’s absolute lies before, during, and after 9/11 cost America exponential amounts of money to seek and destroy “weapons of mass of destruction.” He, and Obama, also did not tell you that Osama Bin Laden was a former CIA agent. Look into that one sometime if you do not believe me. And then the entire SEAL team that supposedly killed Bin Laden “coincidently” died as well.

The Obama team is back in action. The Nobel Peace Prize President Obama continually made empty promises of peace and hope, and not getting caught up in foreign entanglements. And yet he dropped a total of 26,171 bombs in the Middle East and furthered the war machine, reports conservative news outlet The Federalist Papers. Not to mention that he handed nuclear over to Iran.

As for Trump, giving credit where credit is due: he did not further extenuate anymore useless and ‘endless wars,’ and removed troops from the Middle East. However, Truth Dig, a liberal-leaning website is critical of Obama and the killing thousands of innocent lives, and even reports that Obama dropped more bombs than reported by The Federalist Papers; but also notes that in 2018, at the time of this particular article, the Trump administration was dropping on average a bomb every 12 minutes, and how some bombs were dropped in nations we had no previous entanglements with – comparing these actions to the likes of Bush and Obama.

One might object and say this was to fight ISIS. Personally, when I hear that, I hear ‘more foreign entanglements’ and the sounds of coins being dropped in a bucket and the intro song to “The Celebrity Apprentice.” America has it’s own issues. We are wasting time and money fighting anyone over there?

The business of America is war. Gotta keep the money flow coming.
