CNBC also reported in October of 2020 that Covid-19 could become an endemic disease, citing the U.K.’s chief scientific advisor. He said that the only disease that has been truly eradicated was the smallpox.
The notion of eliminating Covid from anywhere is not right, because it will come back.
We can’t be certain, but I think it’s unlikely we will end up with a truly sterilizing vaccine, (that is) something that completely stops infection, and it’s likely this disease will circulate and be endemic, that’s my best assessment.

At a panel discussion with JPMorgan Healthcare Conference, Stephane Bancel said “SARS-CoV-2 is not going away.”
We are going to live with this virus, we think, forever.
He also said that vaccine companies, like his, will be constantly watching for new strains and mutations so new vaccines can be developed. CNBC then reports that in Ohio two new strains were already discovered. They also report that Pfizer’s Covid vaccine is effective against the new variant in the U.K.

To sum all of this up, what Bancel is really saying, is that the economy that they crushed will remain this way, and they will be reaping even more of the dough from all their drugs and vaccines they make.
