During the campaign, and after the media announced him the winner, Joe Biden has said wearing a mask is patriotic.

Biden claims that he wants to avoid another national shutdown at all costs.

When campaigning in Michigan, he told his tiny rally to “Be patriotic. It’s not about being a tough guy, it’s about doing your part.”

Biden and his support group have been very critical of the Trump administration’s actions, and wants to see more being done to stop the spread of a disease that has been severely over-hyped.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan. As soon as you sacrifice this slogan and try to be many-sided, the effect will piddle away, for the crowd can neither digest nor retain the material offered. In this way the result is weakened and in the end entirely cancelled out. Thus we see that propaganda must follow a simple line and correspondingly the basic tactics must be psychologically sound.

Mein Kampf

Many people have already forgotten that at one point in time, President Trump said something similar.

Trump is just another pawn in the game. Because the sentiment, by and large, of Trump supporters was not pro-mask, you very rarely saw Trump promoting them or very rarely ever wearing one. If most Trump supporters had no problem with it, I can guarantee you he’d one wear one more often. But having a candidate be pro-mask, and another candidate who is not pro-mask – creates great drama: it’s all by design.

I bring this up to remind everyone of the facts. Hitler said that people’s power of forgetting is enormous: and that it is. Most Trump supporters will do, and have done, the same thing Biden supporters do when presented with facts: make excuses, ignore ’em, and forget ’em

As for Biden, his mandatory face-masking would only be truly enforceable in government institutions and buildings. And even if he could somehow make it mandatory in all walks of life in the country, no way I am putting on a mask. I have not yet, nor will I be.
